Dear passengers, welcome aboard, this is my first dev log. The week after the game’s release has been quite an experience - peculiar, exciting, and full of lessons. I’d like to share a few thoughts and reflections with you:
- To each their own.
Everyone experiences the game in their own way. Some players who enjoy mature storytelling really connected with it, while others found it too dark or strange. And that’s perfectly fine - both perspectives are valid. If you didn’t like it, thank you for giving it a try (it’s free, after all). And if you did enjoy it, your support means a lot - the best way to help is simply to talk about the game and recommend it to others. The more interest there is, the more motivation I have to keep creating.
- The “txt file on desktop” incident.
That little story element caused quite a strong reaction. It’s been removed in the latest updates, and I’ll be talking with Anna about how to rework the feature in a better, more thoughtful way.
- Wonderful people along the way.
I’ve met some great developers and kind souls recently. I especially want to mention
OneEyedBenson - Mia's Protector - he’s an amazing person who not only ported the game to Android but also fixed a long-standing bug with save names (one I somehow missed for two years). Just a nice reminder of how generous and supportive people can be.~ ~
What’s next? Now that the initial release hype is settling down, I can finally focus on actual development again. I’m currently working on Day 2 animations. Once the animations are done, I’ll move on to rendering Anya’s episode (Day 2). It’ll take some time, but I’m excited to share more soon. Thank you all for being here - it really means a lot!
