On the game version 0.412 ( which Faun recently corrected)I went through part of the quest with Gertrude up to the BJ scene in a dungeon and her transformation into a tree. Or an ent, whichever is more convenient. I don’t know about other players, I’m sharing my own experience.

...which in this case means that the quest line is over for now.
And not forever, but three phases of the sex scene. Then a white screen and if you wait, the player will find himself in his camp.

Hey! Just wanted to ask, not sure if I'm missing anything but at least for my game Merrill seems broken.

I am at the part where she asked about her clothes. Taking her to her room, then asking the dialog, she will then find them, but the menu vanishes and I'm just stuck there unless I close the game. Retrying this just leads to another freeze, otherwise everything else is fine so far.

That option is only good for getting the new Merrill outfit. It has no other use. Just don't click on that option... or do as I did, open the game with an older version, in my case I used version 0.38a and unlocked the clothes and then continue playing with version 0.411a of the game.
I must warn you that you can only do this when you haven't captured any other girls and you only have Merrill with you.
The game introduces changes between one version and another and of course, the changes introduced in a newer version will not be supported in an older version, the save file can be corrupted if you are not careful. That is why you can only do this when you only have Merrill at the beginning of the game, after finishing her training.

• Fixed up Gertrude's quest not working; need confirmations.

That's a comment left by the game developer on one of his websites. Apparently, it only fixes a bug in one of the main quests in the game. I think all the other bugs are still unfixed in this new version. Including the merrill bug. I don't feel like downloading the game again to check it out, so I'll wait for someone else to confirm it.
