Can you all stop with the "game is about to be abandoned" stuff in every thread? The last post on patreon was a month ago. If instead of making comments like this, you took the time to check his patreon you would realize that the dev doesn't have that many patrons so he most likely has a full time job. When that is the case, then yeah the updates will take a while to come out. It doesn't mean the game is abandoned.

If you think a guy with thousands of subs(ICSTOR) is in the same position as a dev with 47 subs on patron then you are a lost cause. I will just put you on the ignore list because you will probably never write anything worth reading in this forum.

If it would be abandoned, I would say that. I would not have a problem with it. But it's not. I'm just working on Sinful Success right now.

And I have an aweful and stressful full time job. I can't quit. Plus, unfortunately not enough supporters to reduce my working hours to have more time for my passion. It's a trap, but it's my personal problem, not yours.

You can give a shit on that. You can give me bad reviews and shirtstorm me, but no matter what you are doing - it ill not change my situation, it will create more stress for me.

The only way to help me and to increase the speed is to support me more. But this is something 99% don't care about. So things are like they are.

I'm glad that you write this. If I could choose, Isolated Pleasure is for me a little better story. I'm not sure how other people think. And, yeah, I can understand your job problems. Had myself few of those. I hope you come out of it. It can't last forever.
But even if I like this better, the second game isn't bad.

Overview:
A virus spreads rapidly around the world. 80% of the world's population dies. Anarchy, crime and looting are rampant. Five protagonists try to escape to a safe underground shelter deep in the forest outside the city.

This game, like Éxito Pecaminoso, are the ones that best reach me due to their sensuality. It's a shame that they don't continue yet. I hope to God that you don't abandon this project and even have others in mind. Greetings

Because most of these games are money making scams. They are mainly people trying to make quick easy $$. Not all have been some devs have stuck with games long term, finished them and communicated well but they are the exception. Then you have some devs who throw out idea's and if they dont get "enough" support they toss that game aside and try something else until they get a money maker.

I cant speak for all devs, but according to the dev forum basically because of these major reasons:

1. The shitstorm, trolling became too much (and manipulating)
2. Lack of creativity and ideas to keep the quality and thrill as high as possible
3. Lack of techniques, assets to realize the ideas and story concept
4. Lost of enjoyment in working on the same project, looking at the same characters
5. (Too) less support - huge effort with almost zero financial support
6. You are not satisfied with your results, but also dont know how to improve at the moment
7. Decrasing efficiency because of lack of time and/or perfectionism links to the fact that you cant release as often as the audience/supporters wants

In my case, the points 3 and 4 had an influence on my decision.

They are mainly people trying to make quick easy $$.

Even if you make $2000 a month, that doesn't cover the average VN's effort at all, considering all the time spent on story, rendering, animation, renpy configuration. It would be an hourly wage of under $1. Believe me or search different forums, you will understand what I mean.

90% of devs do it out of passion, the financial support is the recognition, honor, gratitude and motivation that their content is valued by peers. Become a dev, go to internal forums and you will find out for yourself.

90% of members here on F95 are ready to pay $2-5 for a crappy coffee. For 15 minutes of enjoyment. However, exactly this 90% are not ready to give even $1 to a dev from which they consume a VN, jerking off several times or several hours. And that with every new release. This is the "mindset" of the internet-generation. There is an unwritten law like "porn is free", but not coffee, food, etc. And all devs have to live with that...

There is no "quick easy $$" if you make 3dx content nowadays...

Then you have some devs who throw out idea's and if they dont get "enough" support they toss that game aside and try something else until they get a money maker.

I am sure that in some cases it is. But that's not only due to lack of revenue, but generally due to the fact that too few people like what you do. It affects the motivation to invest an extreme amount of time in a project that most people think sucks or completely igorize.

Another reason can be the fact that you develop as a dev very quickly, create better characters, better environments, think up a better story and thus grow beyond the level of the previous VN. Your previous VN loses its appeal for you because you don't develop with it and/or can't make drastic changes in the "old" VN.

I´m glad I still have ideas and passoin for Isolated Pleasure, because I see a lot potential. But I got a little tired and need some fresh air. Furthermore, I´m still collecting and preparing all necessary assets for the plot, the environment and story. My plot is not "standard"... it´s not a fucking ordinary house in the west with 5 rooms... I need to render a post-apokapyptic world.

You've never complained about bad food, bad movies, bad songs, a broke down vehicle, items of clothing, the internet cutting out, electronics breaking down or basically anything......

Because if you can't show me that you can cook a 3 course meal to perfection, write/compose/produce music, write/act/direct/produce a movie or make a car in a few weeks then keep your mouth closed.

You're wrong. We CAN complain about anything on f95 due it's not an official site or forum for any project. And don't forget to mention that patreon etc are not shops (where you pay and gain product), they're just supporting communities. You're not PAYING there, just SUPPORTING. So it's totally wrong to shut someone's mouth for not PAYING for the most of the games here.
NB I'm still not saying this all about 'Isolated Pleasure' itself. I hope Zeus is honest author and will keep making his games and share his/her ideas for both of the projects.
