Maybe should have had something on homepage stating the setting is college, although here in Scotland, you can be 16 and at college.

it really sucks, it should be clear to them that its your game and he selling it, so they should really be protecting you as a customer as well. seems there more interested in implementing there rules than aiding there customers with a legit copyright infringement complaint.

Yeah as I said in my last post and something I realised when typing last post, was a 16 year old can be at college here in Scotland, so saying they at college doesn't exactly confirm they over 18.

Am currently developing story and have 3 female characters that don't look exactly like Ashley but of similar age, so was little concerned, as I planned to say they was at college as well, think I may change that now.

Granted she isn't what i'd go for but I do like her character and it seems some story, especially that of Kate, seems to revolve around Ashley's appearance. It would be a shame to alter that as I think we may lose a bit of story and I was interested to see where Kate's story was going. I understand their concerns but since when did personal opinions become facts? This should be the issue here, the real problem lies with them thinking she looks under aged not because she is under aged. You could very easily say something along the same lines as their way of thinking "The fact that people come in all shapes and sizes, women in particular, etc, etc.." but you will always be wrong to these people. Hopefully your recent response to what you plan to send them is enough to change their minds on the matter. I know the same doesn't really apply here and that it's been mentioned a fair few times already but countless porn actresses are forced to provide proof of their age because there are a lot of "petite and underdeveloped" looking porn actresses out there that also happen to wear "clothes associated with being underaged" yet the world is fine with it because of the proof provided that the woman in question is indeed of an age of consent.

If they want to hit you with real world morals on fictional content then real world occurrences should be allowed as proof and evidence that not every character that doesn't have DD sized breasts, child birthing hips and a mature attitude is a child. I understand the complications with fictional media and real world policies/laws but I really hope they take what you've said/are going to say to them seriously with all the proof you're providing that she is being represented as an adult and not as a child. Ashley as a character and her heart warming/wenching story are amazing to me and it would hurt for you to have to change her to conform to personal opinions based on how she looks.

It's a shame you have to be the one to defend yourself from patreon rather than them investigating the content themselves to see the proof you're offering, good luck Runey and I hope you come out on top here.

It sucks, but all one has to go for fictional characters are their looks and personality (just the former in case of patreon because they will not play games). A real actress can show her ID and fill as many official forms as needed, so regardless of her looks, it's all legal, a fictional character, on the other hand, can only be judged by how they are perceived and that's open to personal bias.

On this note, two more points:

1) So far compared to what I've seen with the actions taken on the JAV sub community that I'm a part of, Patreon (in regards to porn specifically) is actually far more lenient in regards to how they handle possible TOS violations. The fact that they give the content creator a chance to modify their content to meet guidelines is far more generous than what has been done to the other sites I interact with. As an example, one of the businesses I patronize, EroJapanese, got zero chance to "correct" his content before several payment processors kicked him from their service in succession. In fact, he's had to now resort to direct banking transfers to continue operating in terms of "prohibited" content. It's been a struggle, and he's had zero recourse with appealing the decisions from any of them.

2) If you devs are feeling particularly ironic and vindictive, you should be able to in turn get this giocchi fellow kicked from any payment processor he's currently using by levying the same charges he threw at Runey, and he will likely get zero chance to appeal it. However, depending on your personal sense of principle, this may or may not be a hypocritical act.

Yeap I was looking at their TOS too, and saw the same thing.

Also this little bit here in their prohibited uses section:

"-In any way that violates any applicable US federal, state, or local law, rule, or regulation (including, without limitation, any intellectual property laws or privacy laws or laws regarding sanctions, or the export of data or software to and from the United States or other countries);"

Means any devs with incest content will have still have to dance around it with Lewdpatcher shenanigans just like on Patreon, since incest is illegal for most of the US states.

Basically, it's great for political free speech, but for our pervy purposes... nothing better.

There is the TOS and what they'd actually ban for. If the latter doesn't go beyond the TOS wouldn't stuff like incest, beastiality, rape and other fetish content that gets patreon angsty be acceptable on the platform?
