That's a clear sign imo that the developers have burned out. If they had a lot of ideas they would be releasing more updates because it's obvious that development can't be moving that slowly.He and Lewdlab I believe think that update once per a year is not bad, why people hate us?

So if Stoper is saying he's completed about 1/3 of the update so far and 6 months have already past then it's going to take another 12 months at LEAST for the update to be finished...

There are a lot of diseases going around with the developers right now. So many that I wonder if all these people are (or were) really sick, or maybe just pretending to have some kind of explanation for the lack of progress.

No it's a clear indication that they are milking the cow dry!!!
If they had ideas why wouldn't they release at least 2 updates per year? If you look at other games not just this one it becomes clear that even if you are a solo developer you can work faster, get a lot of money and not piss everyone off about 'milking'.

While we wait for another update of JOHN, I suggest playing https://f95zone.to/threads/love-honor-betray-ep-6-renio-studios.128574/ in the meantime. Which is the most similar game to this one in terms of characters and story, with good renders too. And still it's not getting too much support, unfortunately, despite of the frequent releases.

if it was on time in these "updates" as well as for the content release it would be the absolute best. In any case these mysterious preview renders as if it were a hidden treasure are a disrespect for those who support it in my opinion. But now logic is no longer part of this world.
