Man, JinPingMEi is not only a porn novel, in fact many meaningful thoughts in it. Although many people think it is a porn in first glance, and movies always have been porns.

Jin Ping Mei was based on an early episode in Outlaws of the Marsh. It (Jin Ping Mei) wasn’t really a porn novel, though it did involve graphic sexual content, and has been banned in China for much of its history.

Kudos to the dev for trying his hand at this story. I’ve thought about doing it myself several times, as there is a lot of fun to be had with the story of Ximen Qing.

In my apinion, this game is a remake one. There is a DOS-game named JinPingMei TouQingBaoJian, it is made by Soft-World International Corp from Taiwan.
It really has not much circumstances in the game, only some sexual ones, after all it is a galgame.
Most meaningful thoughts are not discribed.
So reading the real novel is suggested.
