I have seen many discussions on how to use the repaint program, but now I am interested myself. Maybe I'm looking badly, but is there a complete guide to using it? how to find the right colors and so on, how to replace so that everything works?

It seems like you can create an ink file and apply it to all flash files, right?
Not quite as easy as that. You need to select each shape you want the colors to be applied to. Here's a . And here's a download link for the .

once I got the result to see something, but often I get a white screen in the scene, what's the problem?

I know the version isn't the complete version but the recolor tool has a exclude function but it should also have an "exclude all" function, god knows how much time that would've saved me in certain cases. Maybe I should be grateful that the exclude function is there in the first place...

If you're trying to load one of the sub files for a game it will show up as a white screen, you need to load it from the main swf file. For example if I wanted to see the recolor for the file end_4.swf I can't just load that up, I would need to load the main swf file and find out which scene this refers to... In this case it is the love end.

no, I meant that when I run the game and the specific scene that I repainted, the scene does not play, I get a white screen. I think it doesn't matter, in the end I get the result by typing

function?
If you hold shift and select a tag it will exclude that tag from being recolored... This is absolutely necessary to not recolor stuff you don't want to recolor. Oh btw I'm sure you know this already but holding ctrl on a tag will show that shape, this is also an absolutely necessary function you will need to use to get quick results.

Also did you accidentally overwrite a wrong file? That's all I can think of for why that happened then.

I noticed the functions (merge) and (replace) when changing the flash file, can I somehow apply the already painted parts to another flash file? my english is very bad and after trying both options i didn't see any change

I'm not sure if there's a good use for merging, just stay away from that because I think it simply adds all the tags together and can really mess things up. If you want to change an entire game you will need to do every file separately. All the files will have different tags so if you apply the color from one file to another it's almost certain to become a mess. Replacing is what you should be doing for all of the files. Icevail is a wizard and can recolor a game in a short time but from my experience it takes a good amount of time to do a full game recolor.

Tl;dr Don't use merge, just use replace. And do all the files separately.

With experience, anyone can become the 'wizard', the more recolours one does, the faster the entire process becomes.

You begin to see patterns among the colors on the recolor tool, skin for example is most often always the top most dual color group, which is followed by variations of light, medium and dark skin shades, row by row, that's the easiest pattern to learn to notice.

Eventually you begin to spot the same pattern with hair, clothes, armor, eyes and UI and it only keeps getting faster from there.

The games only take longer to recolour if there are extreme amounts of same color used across the assets, for example, white color is used in the hair/armor/skin shine, not always, but often, and white also is quite used colour in the UI side of things, separating those two into their own entities add roughly a 2-3 minute total time used per file, depending how complex the recolour is going to be, or one can just skip the shine effects on all assets entirely.

And besides, I've had one hell of a headstart, I'm sure people catch up to me in no time.

You need to apply it to the flash file after putting in the colors

Oh and uh... Make sure you apply it to the right file... I definitely haven't made that mistake many times and had to do files from scratch...
