Agree, that is the impression.
Unless it's required to start again from scratch.
Everything is "under development"
I checked the Patreon site and while a bit confusing it looked like there might be either a new diner scene or continuation of diner scenes but I very easily could be wrong.
Update: I might have missed a scene before but Monday's diner scene was new to me.

Accroding to public dev log; there should be a few new diner scenes, a beach scene and maybe subway.
