Let me start by saying that your game is one of the best on this website.
1. There were some posts that complained that the MC is not manly enough and also that you plan to rewrite the beginning to make him more manly.
I think that it's totally normal that an 18 years old boy who is probably not experienced with women doesn't act dominant and manly.
Imho, there's no need to change anything and you should ignore those who say otherwise.
If you're not sure what to do, maybe you can make a poll on Patreon or on this site to see what the people think.
2. Also, you mentioned that you need to pause the game development.
If this is because you doubt the appeal of the game and feel you need to rewrite parts of it, then let me tell you again that (imho) this is one of the highest quality games of this type: the story, the characters and the renders are all top notch.
3. If you need more money in order to be able to continue, then I suggest putting this game on Steam as early access.
You might get a lot of support from people who won't use Patreon but are ok with Steam.
Also, you can put it on Gog, OppaiMan and other platforms.

Because if you bothered to read 2 posts above yours you'd have your answer. Not to mention it doesn't qualify for that tag according to F95's rules.
That post is from August 2024, and the "Abandoned" tag qualifies when it has been more than 3 months without news, so sorry not sorry but this thread should be marked as abandoned.

I don't really get some people's obsession with the abandoned tag. Will it really make you feel better to see the tag? Will you feel some sense of vindication? Is it just so that you can have closure? What's the deal, really? For myself, seeing the abandoned tag pop up is a cause for disappointment, albeit fleeting discouragement. It isn't as if the abandoned tag is a prominent condition. Some games get updates after no news for several years. So why waste your time on such a minute thing?
Can someone explain to me like I'm five why the board has a group who are absolutely obsessed with getting games marked as Abandoned, even when those games, such as this, have a group watching the thread that doesn't want it?
It feels like every game I follow that goes a few months without an update gets this kind of assault. I just don't get it. If you're an upset Pateron, then by all means quit that. Even send a message to the dev saying that you're upset. But why the crusade on here? Its over and over and over.

Miserable people have to tear things down.
I don't doubt that at all. I just don't understand the motivation. If it were one game here and there, I'd figure that they were jilted fans. But its like a plague. And even when games have a posted reason as to why the dev is taking a break, it still doesn't stop.

I will try to keep it short.
Thank you to everyone for the kind messages and support.
Bottom line: I am either going to start over or not continue at all.
I just feel like 3/4 of the game was made rushed/without planning and resulted in:
Unlikeable MC
Bad renders/Models
Weird pacing
I came to this realization after the last update and was kind of dumbfounded that I was oblivious to these issues. Its hard for me to look at the early game. I just feel like everything is mediocre and I want it to be great.
Originally, I was going to abandon it altogether but a part of me does want to continue if I can start from scratch. Maybe doing a few renders each weekend till I get a more consistent schedule. However, I am still thinking about it.
I think the "abandon" tag would be appropriate despite what I said above, because my plans are up in the air and I don't people to feel anticipation something is going to happen soon.
For patreon supporters, thank you for supporting me and I'm sorry I couldn't read/respond to messages while my account was essentially locked down. My patreon is done and I don't think I would go back to patreon in the future.

Upcoming plans:
1. I have about 600+ renders that were on my mega that I may post here if people want. These are comprised of holiday renders, pinups, unreleased renders
2. Not sure if I will release models or not. A lot of them are "custom" with some textures edited in photoshop and morphs made in Blender, so I would have to make actual character models rather than listing morphs out. I always enjoyed fan art and was curious what people would do with characters from the VN but now I don't know if people would still want to.
I won't be online much, so if I don't respond to messages or respond late, that's the main reason.
I really do appreciate the enthusiasm people had for the VN and was determined before that I wasn't going to abandon it. I just wish I had planned/done things differently so it wouldn't be in the state that it is currently in.

I had no issues with your vn, which is why I supported it when I was able too. The mc was young and naive, but I can't remember anything unlikable about him. The renders looked good IMO. I would support you on Subscribestar.
