It is complete, there is no DLC for Kamidori Alchemy Meister, you might be thinking of other Alchemy Meister games.
There is a partial decensor patch that patches things a bit.
Thank you !

Yeah, DLC is maybe not the best term, but I thought there was some version with less content around, or it's what I remember, but since it's been years...

Anyway, thank you again ! will do some searching tonight and launch the game tomorrow :)

Hooo, was thinking about this game recently, I'm pleasantly surprised to see he's here!

I remember playing it like 10 years ago, but don't go far sadly.

Anyway, if I remember correctly, there is some dlc/expansion with this game, so...

Question! Is this the complete version? Before playing I will dive on some research about tips and the order in which route playing (again, if I remember correctly, there is one route who was largely "weak" when compared to the other 2, so I prefer to begin with this one.)

Would hate to spend time searching for info and launching the game to see he is missing some expansion/dlc
I suggest you either go with the route that has rare route-exclusive drops or the route you like most first. Because you will have to do your 1st route one more time to get full gallery.

I think Serawi's route has some rare, limited mobs with valuable drops. But then Yuela's route has some sort of limited stuff (the accessory that gives +1 or +2 to all stats) that is needed to be taken on at least 2 playthroughs to do 100% crafting completion.

Hence, decide how important completionism is for you and go from there.

Yes, I use Lossless Scaling from Steam to fullscreen the game, works like a charm

I would pay top dollar for a proper EN translated remaster with no censorship, easy to run on modern hardware and animation. But that will most likely never happen. Also "Hey Hey people".

Aroduc's translation is pretty good. Performance-wise, yeah, this game has some weird problems. Runs without crashing even in Wine, though, so could have been far worse.

I want to play this but the install instructions are confusing me as I am running it in Japanese emulator I am not fully getting what options I am picking in the autorun.exe as I am getting an error message I have no clue what it means and it is getting annoying because of that.

there should be an age.EXE in the folder that you can right click Local emu -> launch in Japanese.
OR you could try to install the partial descensor patch, I think it fixes the JP local requirement

I did solved this very error on some other site. Here's how it goes.
  • go to AppData\Local\Eushully\神採りアルケミーマイスター
  • Open SYS4REG on notepad or something equivalent.
  • Modify these settings to this :
    • VirtualFullScreen=1
    • VirtualFullScreenType=1
This should do the trick. If above doesn't works, compare the settings to this

Thanks! I found this game again somewhere on an old drive after more than 10 years since I completed Yuela's route (and the game overall) for the first time and had a little trouble making it look nice. Fixing those values in config file made it look just like I remember. I installed the partial uncensor patch and it works great so far.

No, it does not fix the JP locale requirement. When you run the game (age.exe) without the JP locale emulation, the game creates a new save/config folder in the %appdata%\local\Eushully with gibberish ascii characters instead of proper JP ones ("_ŤĚ‚čA‹P~[}CX^[" instead of "神採りアルケミーマイスター"). If you had any saves, the game doesn't see them and crashes in the menu after few seconds.

It took me about a week but I finally got this game to run on lutris.

First I installed wine, lutris, winetricks and cdemu.

Then I went to languages and installed the japanese language.

Then I mounted the kamidori.mds file with cdemu.

Then I installed the game with lutris using the autorun.exe file inside the .mds file, making sure the installer preset was set to windows 10 64 bit and the locale was set to japanese.

Then I installed the kami_ap01.exe, kami_ap02.exe and kami_200.exe files using the same method detailed above.

Then I copied all the files located inside the kamidori 1_1 ENG folder to the game's install directory.

Then I right clicked the game on lutris, clicked on configure and changed the executable from age.exe to kamidori english.exe. I also disabled DXVK, VKD3D, Esync, Fsync BattlEye anticheat and Easy anticheat, otherwise the game will lag on fullscreen.

Finally I installed the fakejapanese and fakejapanese_ipamona fonts to prevent the game from crashing when trying to display text. I also installed the lavfilters dll, otherwise the cutscenes and battle animations will glitch and be displayed as color bars.

I've played the game all the way through the prologue up until the first chapter and i've only had somewhat minor issues.

Issues:

-The text will sometimes be too small making it difficult to read, changing the font using the in-game setting and running the game in fullscreen will somewhat mitigate this.

-If you move the cursor to the very top of the screen the game will switch from fullscreen to windowed.

-Rarely the game will crash while trying to display a battle animation. So far this has happened to me only once.

-The game will stutter during transitions, in the middle of fights, when displaying dialog options and when saving or loading a game.

I've also posted this on the lutris forums.

Interesting - I had much fewer issues than that, possibly because I got an already-patched version of this game and so didn't have to handle the installation process. I'm running it in lutris via lutris-GE-Proton8, and set LANG=ja_JP.UTF8 in System options. I also had to install the Japanese fonts from the bottom of into the wine prefix in question in order to have the fonts show up correctly rather than taking the wrong amount of space. After that, in about a hundred hours of gameplay the only issues I had was high CPU usage (sometimes resulting in bad performance, like when saving/loading) and rare crashes when clicking on the alt menu buttons (which I don't usually do).

I have never bought a porn game, but I would 100% buy this if it got an english, uncensored release.
One can only dream with Japan being Japan and Eushully being... Weird with their sales politics. I still can't understand until this day why they chose to keep themselves locked to their own cherry blossom nest. It's not like Mangagamer or JAST would refuse distributing their games, especially Kamidori. It's been very popular in the niche genre of "SRPG Ero-VN" in the west, no?
might be one of Eushully's ambassadors at this point too. ;)

using both of your comments i managed to get it run perfect on linux, i would only add that if you have no audio(my case) you should just install lib32-libpulse and there is no need for cdemu, you can just mount it
Code:
Sudo pacman -S lib32-libpulse
sudo mount -o loop -t iso9660 KAMIDORI.mdf "folder for the files to be mounted to"
i think someone should make clear instructions about getting it on linux or at least pin down your comments because that was super helpfull with instalation/fonts/fixing animations etc.

Also why the hell it runs better than it was on windows ? the history menu(the one that pops up after you scroll up durning conversation) it was always laggy for me, on linux it runs perfect :l what the heck
