Actually, the explanation for this is quite simple (in my opinion) and it lies not in Callista's ideas about Kane, but in the presentation of the story to the player. If Callista had told Kane everything, there would have been no surprises and the game would have lost some of its appeal. So, secrets are dosed carefully and gradually, and even Olivia doesn't know everything (and what she does know, she doesn't tell).

I think that's reasonable...Kane is already playing the role of "Neo, the chosen one" in many ways, and if all the secrets are revealed on top of that, the game could be over. However, I do agree that Kane could have been a bit more savvy and understood a bit more than he should have. But to blame Callista for this.. no, she did the best she could... And if Kane and Olivia, despite Callista's virtuous upbringing, did veer into the grey areas of morality, it's certainly not her fault.. Yeah, I don't really like the fact that Olivia is the girl with the golden spoon in her mouth and we have to do everything ourselves, but it's not appropriate to complain about it either, because as you know, our Kane can rise pretty high (or fall) if you wants to.

1. So far we have only been TOLD by everyone that Callista is very smart. We haven't been SHOWN that. The Gambit itself could be the brainchild of Alexander, with the Gambit Queen just following the script. As of right now, Callista feels like a typical Mary Sue character, whom everybody adores for no apparent reason. I hope that she will get developed more in the future and we will actually see some of her inventions.
2. Olivia is an even bigger Mary Sue (which I understand, KG is a FemDom setting and these types of fantasies are seemingly common in that genre). Still, I hope that some of the asskissing that other characters are doing to her will turn out to be fake (Alessandra or some of the staff members). She also needs to experience serious hardship in the future (for example, being too Good and Submissive or Evil + Dominant will result in her losing the Gambit).
3. Olivia has another problem - she's an unreliable narrator that WE play as. She clearly knows more than her inner thoughts show us, which makes it hard to roleplay as her and hurts the immersion.
4. Kane is the biggest idiot around, oblivious to everything around him and with 0 hint of him being apt at, say, research or engineering. Yet some characters have high hopes for his scientific talents. His IQ is lower than my room temperature (in Celsius).

Kane is a fuckin retard and a dunce that will happen to stumble into the top dog of all and will still be having an inner monologue 3 weeks after he has taken his place he still is wondering what Kwame is up too at that moment like they had been boys for 20 yrs and if he wants to come up from the mines and see all his new shit and his new slaves he has now or watch me fuck this one..... only to overlook that he and his family are outside being made to do labor all over kane and his mommys new properties while Kane is lost in his empty head and is balls deep inside right then Kwame's wife. while you are blost in space u look over at Olivia who is one of 3 of your wives you said fuck ya all I will do me and thats it, Olivia is knocked out from last nite after you fucked herb like a mad man for hours and won't be any help in the fun you having but then wife 2 is laughing as she walks in naked and ready for her king, yep iDominique comes in smiling and pulls out an even more crazy new whip for her new man and her to have some freaky fuck time and in between will help torture fuck Kwame's wife and all whiile he is 5ft on otherside of the one way seen thru glass being yelled at by Alessandra, your last of the 3 of the lucky bitches, the 3 you took to wife or wives lol and the rest are house cunts on call for funor slaves now! But truly if you play the dom path than the mc is the whole key to it all and like Veronica says clear if he does all required he shall have all the control himself and he will choose the one he wants as the mother of his children and will give everyone who has it coming a big fun surprise of KARMA and all the bitches who think they are above the rest will be living in a cold shocked new way of life they don't still deserve. I hope we get to do major shake ups after Kane gets his win and power and the game just dont end with pre chosen destinys and nothin big you can do to which ever of the Karlsson cunts or any random chicMAINLY THE BOARD, the player wants to get back at them or have them find out how the other side lives and then have them even be made slaves servents or shot even if thats what we want for a dom Kane! Talk bout a perfect ending to the best game you arte ever gonna witness from now or even in the future! This is by far the best game I have ever come across no doubt and Tess and her team need know that so many love the game no matter how you choose to play! It is just far above all others in almost all ways!

Wait so you are telling me, in the Dom route, he is valued because others think he has a good IQ and he is better at sci stuff, if that's true, I would say that sounds like the lamest Dom route one can play in a porn game.
Also I have played this game a little bit and Kane doesn't give any researcher vibes actually opposite seems fitting to him.

It's a fuckup regardless she put Kane in a situation where the possibility that he could die is more than zero and she didn't even bother training him for it. For all this hiding, she could've easily bought him over to the decocks and they would've been comfortable and safe but instead, they were raised in what appears to be poverty, Kane's life was likely swapped for a seth cure and Olivis wound up right where she would've been to begin with, the only real difference is that she didn't have Alexander fucking with her.


Does he? Cuz there is a situation where he could very much be kept alive until he provides a male heir and easily get disposed of afterwards. As a matter of fact, with Veronica around, they really just need to get his sperm and have Veronica make designer babies. Olivia's protected by the Karlssons and Elena, and Kane is very much in that gambit by himself with little to no protection. There is a very likely possibility that everybody but Kane can benefit from the situation.

Thyat is where you are wrong because Veronica is doing it exactly how it was set up and If kane does what he has to do whatever that is than he will obtain full control over it all so he has it all to gain and nobody can do anything if and when he is in that position! Veronica clearly says this to Elena and Yvette that if he does all required than he will be given full control and the only one to ever be able to do anything then is his son not his heir cause a girl does nothing for what is wanted from kane and a daughter he picks to be with and even then she may or may not have any say.

In the interest of some disclosure, I do feel that I can at least share some minor spoilers but will mark it as such. This is part of a basic chart I created which outlines some possible "romantic" paths for Kane only. (Olivia and Seth are different in how they work because Seth kind of depends on Kane/Olivia choices, and Olivia is kind of very dependent on her current status even more than Kane in some ways) So for Kane, marking as spoilers not the pure status to get a path, but rather how flexible a character is to "tweak" or change from their initial starting point as a character in terms of attitudes towards sub/dom players. (note that good/evil can also tweak this but not included here) So I have them as Set (they cannot change who they are at all in this respect so there is really only one playable path), Somewhat Flexible (they can be influenced to change a little towards player choice/status but cannot really fundamentally change entirely and Kane must meet her halfway), and More Flexible (they are more pliable to play multiple romance paths because they are open to different types of "Kanes" in a lot of ways, so very flexible to adjust to the winds of change so to speak).

If you don't want to know, don't open spoiler tag, although of course stories can tweak a little! The big spoiler to me in here is the actual list in that it lists true romantic possibilities (not technically all but there is a reason for that, and most characters can be extra lovers/slaves/friends with benefits but not a true romance I guess. (maybe a third person style perhaps)

(I might forget someone since this is off the top of my head but do include who I remember, and some of these take patience, they are not happening super soon or anything)

Last, regarding the gentle femdom paths, there are two major characters that will do that, and two others that are open, and one last one which is hard to explain without saying too much. But given the narrative world, it is almost impossible for a lower ranked person to really risk this even behind closed doors. Only the very comfortable and powerful might go that route.

Remember, this is more serious stuff, not just sex scenes as that is way more open for most characters. I will spoil a few characters in there as an example where you can have sex with her but not go father without specific variables. Please be respectful and not spoil this in the actual thread or I basically will have to edit everything out and even more possibly alter my plans just to make it different since it's not set in stone, lol! Also, not every romance is in depth, a few are clearly more deep and involved than more casual ones. So this list seems big, but in reality, the biggest romances with lots of scenes are more limited. Meaning that some romances actually are central to the final plot/resolution, while others are merely part of the story but not crucial to the final plot outcome. (the path might look very similar on your path of choices whether you are with her or not except with side scenes so to speak)

Yea Callista and Alexander feel way overhyped. Thankfully, Alexander is dead so he'll never disappoint us as the story seems to be more about his wishes and his actions than the man himself.
Olivia I get as the decisions we make with her don't require her secret knowledge ( other than the kidnapping ones not too much immersion). Im just waiting for dom and juliette to start making moves against her since she's very much a threat to them and they know it. Kane though, yea. Other than Veronica being that kid he met in the park, he has to have everything spelled out for him. Hopefully as a dom now that he has a bit more freedom, he'll be able to figure things out.

It was stated that Kane is her favorite child, aka her golden child. There has to be a ton of fail-safes, even from Alexander himself as this is the only way to his objective.
But, to be honest, the subplaythrough is not a natural way of acting and is only possible given that it's driven by a player making the decisions. We should respect the decision of the players as they go this path, but it's really hard to consider cannon.
The thing, the gambit at least from Kane's perspective is more of a reward if he is worthy of being the king of the new world. But even if he does every single thing wrong he is absolutely precious given his hidden connections and the implications of his future children.

Even if this is the case it would make sense, after all Callista agreed with being part of the organization and her view about society is the same as the other ejecutives so... Kane is important but only for his sperm . It doesn´t really matter if he lives or dies when he gets pregnant one of the sisters.

Of course is someone wants a pure couple in the throne Kane need to be there but is not necessary.

Don't get me wrong, I really like the game and I'm not trying to bash it for no reason. If it was a lesser game, I wouldn't be as invested or as passionate about it.

Some things I agree with, but there are things that, in my opinion, look different and should be perceived differently. As I have already written, this is the way the story is presented, we are not revealed all things and therefore, probably, you and I have a deceptive feeling of stupid Kane.

"Well, I (the player) know everything, and this fool (Kane) can't understand the obvious". Except you have to realize that you know it not as Kane, but as a player who, roughly speaking, is just invisibly present at the most important events of the game, while our Kane is somewhere in the bowels of JoyFacility.

Now about Mary Sue's Olivia.(point 2) Here I agree completely. And yes, I too am annoyed by the unrestrained kissing of Olivia's ass by others, even though in fact she hasn't done much of anything so far, and neither has Kane. So yeah, we'll just have to chalk it up to Tess' own personal femdom fantasies.

Then again, for now, Olivia can mostly prove herself from a moral standpoint, which, given her position as Warden, makes sense. You don't expect her to discover planets and invent cures for all diseases, do you? Anyway, it's a complex and voluminous topic and I think we'll just have to wait to see how this girl with a golden spoon in her mouth handles the real trials.

Yeah I think this probably key. We all understand (I hope) why that path exists given the larger context of the setting, but nothing we know about Kane so far or in flashbacks (or events told) tell us that Kane is naturally a submisisve personality (or, not that I saw at the least) unlike say Seth who most definitely has been/is.

Kane and Olivia didn't grow up in poverty. He lived in poverty as an adult. As for the rest, re-read my post about whether Callista had a choice at all... Also, don't forget that here we have a dystopia in a post-apocalyptic world, and it's a bit strange to me to see you complaining that Kane wasn't asked for consent or that the chances of Kane dying are greater than 0...

Everyone has a chance to die in this world, and as you know, only 3 characters are guaranteed not to die. And personally, I wouldn't want to play as Kane if he, like Olivia, was assigned to some important position like Warden right after the events started, where he would live quietly and peacefully. Where's the challenge then? The game would lose interest if Kane was invulnerable to failure (and even death). I think that's an obvious fact.

I am sure that in time the whole truth will be revealed to us, and then you and I with a clear head will be able to assess what happened and make appropriate decisions.

Cole is one of those fathers that’ll want to come save Kane no matter what version he is… And now that he’s found out about Kane situation… he won’t sit idly by… Seems like the only characters who actually care about Kane are Cole, Nadia and Maybe Veronica… Callista… not enough to go by… but if she’s still alive and see Kane (Sub) with Elena, Yvette? Or even Delilah I mean… she wouldn’t accept it… would she?

Side note- And Cynthia and Cole Keep saying..., "But it seems thing are the way they are... **for now**... " even in the sub playthrough… seems like whatever happens the Decocks will take/rescue Kane

According to who exactly? This is another one of things that can differ drastically depending on whether sub or dom path and who you may or may not be chasing as a LI. (specifically referring to Olivia here, especially on the dom path and chasing her. She cares more about you than any single person alive and is very much 'on your side').
