It will be somewhat interesting to learn why everyone cares so much about the gambit. The board functions.. so what's the need? Presumably it's an attempt to create a peace agreement or a path for cooperation between the Karlssons and the Syndicate. But that's a rather insane gamble unless the outcome can be guaranteed (which it absolutely won't, if I have it my way). I'm not sure why anyone would care about what some dead guy wanted, unless there's something vital locked away by an AI, that is only accessible once Alexander gets what he wanted.
Let's assume that our MC ends up in a position of almost absolute power while in charge of both corporations.. there seems to be a lot of delusions going on in regards to the primary gambit players. It's as if nobody has had the thought that it might backfire rather spectacularly.

It is you who is wrong, Dominique is my main sponsor in some of my Dom saves and I am well aware of the scene you tried to describe.. As for the main part of your post, once again you failed to surprise by spouting your trademark (c) meaningless walls of text that carry no useful information and are demagoguery mixed with your personal fantasies. Well, we still don't know the exact terms and details of the Gambit... we know that Kane is to be tested and deemed worthy (or not) and it's very likely that they're all bound to secrecy about him until he reaches a certain level (probably K10)... it's also quite likely that IF Kane were to somehow get that info before time, he'd be disqualified because his testing could be considered "tainted" or whatever, which is why no one is telling him jackshit, not the sisters, not his mom, not Yvette or Elena. They're all probably bound to secrecy about the whole thing under serious threats.
Also, part of the secrecy is that he is also supposed to breed a sister so that Alexander gets his desired descendant, so if he were told that, it could be done without following the terms of the Gambit... in fact, Dominique tries to cheat. But anyways, as long as we don't know the full deal of the Gambit, it's kinda hard to explain everything... but so far it mostly makes sense.
The DeKocks are a bit more puzzling, they obviously know what's going on but are also keeping quiet... but I'm sure we can come up with some reasonable speculation as to why they're doing it... it's probably part of a powerplay anyways, but both groups are super secretive and don't like showing their hand... there's obviously a lot of scheming going on, I'm sure we'll get more info soon enough.

While interesting, I never got the impression Alesandra 'sent' Pat after anyone. I don't particulary think Pat was any part of Alessa's plan to two sisters fighting.

Mmm... nah, you're seeing everything through a very anti-Veronica lense for some reason. You keep saying that if she really was interested in saving humanity then she should just abandon the Gambit, but that's super disingenous, that assumes that everyone would be okay with it no questions asked.
She doesn't WANT power, but she NEEDS power, she needs someone at the head of the KG to create some sense of peace and stability so that she can focus on the important things...
Also, Veronica's not an idiot, she is keeping I4 secret for a very good reason, and that reason is that she's probably not gonna take any of those rich & powerful assholes, including possibly her sisters... she needs the KG to function properly until everything can be readied, you can't build a massive arc or try to solve the problems in the world with a power struggle within the KG and possibly open warfare between the KG and the Syndicate.
But let's say that Veronica is indeed behind everything and she's just manipulating everyone to suit her goals, again, she IS trying to save humanity, so how is she evil? You didn't quite answer that question.

Before the meeting with Elena and Yvette, only she and Callista knew the details of the Gambit (and how much each of them knows is open to interpretation). Currently, as far as we are aware, only those four currently know (though Yvette and Elena only know what Veronica shared...and I suspect Olivia knows). So she is very much manipulating everyone...whether by design of the Gambit or intention.
As you say, Island 4 a secret. Astrid...a secret. the Gambit...secret....she holds...all the cards. Dominique is suspecting Kanes real importance (and no she never cheats or tried to get pregnant, no idea where you got that from, the cum scene was so she could test it (and that scene and the scene with Eolise are both optional btw)).
Veronica knows everything....anyone else knows what she chooses to tell them.

What I do find strange is that Alessandra said that despite her best efforts from the shadows, she's failed to get the animosity going, but there hasn't been any indication that she's been doing anything outside of escorting Olivia, and influencing (or fucking) Kane.
Like I said, I don't see cold calculating Veronica getting to "murderous rage" outside of a legitimate threat on Astrid. ... Of course Nadia shattering her illusion of absolute control seems to have really pissed her off, so maybe some greater upset against the Control Freak would put her over the edge, and yeah, only Dominique has the resources to pull that off.
I feel to say they "dislike each other" is an overstatement, more like they have "an uncomfortable working relationship" that looks to have been stronger once upon a time, as demonstrated in both the Restoration Project and the secret N.O.A.H. project, which is why Dominique was certain she had Veronica's support in the Gambit. However, Dominique's attitude when challenging Veronica's support decision, and her expression after Veronica gives her response, shows the Dominique feels both hurt and betrayed by Veronica, thus the relationship is damaged. However, Dominique, as she is constantly reminded, is not Alexander, so a single slight or betrayal is not enough to launch her on the warpath, but I do suspect a second betrayal, or discovering evidence of everything Veronica has been doing that will bar Dominique's chance of victory, can send her over the edge.
It's even possible that Alessandra's earlier attempt WAS leaking the evidence of Veronica's favoritism to Dominique, who instead took the measured path: convince Juliette, confront Veronica.
Thanks for this and to you Silver_Crow117. I did what you suggested in the terminal (and also to the renpy launcher app as I'm loading the KG app using that) but it is still giving the same error. I suspect this is no surprise (as I think what you suggested was just designed to set the write permissions, which we'd already checked?)
I've tried again to enable developer mode / access the console so I can get you the information you needed Sancho and the methods I'm attempting don't seem to work? I tried to follow the various methods outlined here:

Why does everybody think a ticket to the island keeps people in check? The way I understand it, the only people who know of the island's true purpose are Astrid and Veronica. Nadia probably learned of its existence, and leveraged said knowledge into a meeting with Kane but I doubt that Cynthia knows anything about said island. Definitely not enough to keep her in check. I assume she's behaving herself because dumb ass Callista gave them a valuable hostage and they dare not make a move for fear of what happens to Kane.

I imagine at the moment Alessandra is just nudging, she's likely being careful of having anything traced back to her so a suggestion here, a suggestion there and hopefully the sisters anger reaches a critical boiling point. She's now likely using Pat to ramp shit up. I imagine through her reports to Veronica that were established in chapter 2
... Crap! That's probably where #7 is... which explains #7's absence at the most critical time in KG's history, why Elena/Veronica are even allowing these audiences with Kane at all, and likely why KG has "invited" DS at this vulnerable time.
At this point I would not be surprised if #7 is ANOTHER secret sister (Olivia was revealed in Ep. 4-5, Astrid in 6-7), MAYBE a mother. Either way, it's nobody we've met yet.

Because if you actually realised how many different paths and variables/flags there are you'd realise what you're asking for with no context is ridiculous, without giving details of exactly what path you want and decisions made. This is one of the reasons there is no 'choose decisions' at the start of Ep.8.
Yeah this is my thinking also, has to be a Gambit issue...as discussed with Miles yesterday, can't personally see any reason for it anymore given his situation (especially on the sub path..like, what's he gonna do about this information? Nothing).

Cynthia is keeping quiet for other reasons, most likely... And no, I don't think it's fear for Kane's safetly, au contraire, I think Cynthia also wants Kane to succeed so a dekock rises to power... remeber, she knows Cole is alive and is about to rescue him, so having Kane rise up within the KG, and then reveal what they did to his dad would basically turn him to their side... it's probably more of a strategic move.

You had conjectured that Callista gave the DeKocks a hostage, and Board Member #7 has been absent the entire game, but in a way that Yvette is determined to keep an absolute secret, so he/she is clearly not "just busy". During this vulnerable time for the company (as described in the Phoebe-Yvette-Elena scene), this is the worst time for a key decision-maker to be absent, and to allow your enemies inside one of your secret facilities (and the most important one for determining your company's future), yet both cases are the status.
Why? What would possess the Board to invite DS at this time? DS leveraging a hostage would certainly make sense, and KG counters with Kane as their own hostage (as Cole is secret even from the Board), thus DS limits their maneuvers to not jeopardize Kane. Cole, Callista, and Astrid cannot be Board Member #7 as their living status are official secrets from other Board members, neither is any of Phoebe's family, nor the DeKocks, else they would have been identified at the Welcome Party, so #7 must be someone we haven't met yet. A kidnapped Board member is definitely not something Yvette will openly admit has occurred, even in front of the perpetrators (look to Cynthia for example: who never accuses KG of holding Cole prisoner, even though she knows they are, instead arranges to locate/rescue him without their knowledge). It’s possible, one of the motivators for Callista faking her death was to be able to pull off the kidnapping. ... perhaps #7 is even Callista's/Cynthia's source for discovering that Cole was alive and still imprisoned (Nadia should have stumbled across his location before realizing he was alive if hacking was the information source).

The big problem with this particular type of storytelling (the 'Mystery Box' technique, fuck you Jar-Jar Abrams) is that the fan theories usually turn out to be much more coherent and interesting than what the writer eventually presents (or sometimes parts of the story are just dropped altogether), and that just kills your investment in the story. In the end, you're frustrated and eventually become resentful of the IP (I know I have with Star Wars).
So far we've had a lot of mystery boxes in KG, some of them were obvious from the moment they were set up (Olivia's parentage, Red Mask's identity (I fucking told you guys!)) and we got fairly satisfactory revelation scenes. However, plenty more mysteries remain (7th Board member, who's Luke, the Braclet thing etc) and I hope we will get good answers to those in the next few updates, because these mystery boxes can and will outstay their welcome by the end of, say, ep.10. By that time we should be in the Endgame, actively working towards the goal of our choice, not childishly fumbling in the dark looking for answers.

I would say the end of Ep. 8 should signal the start of the mystery reveals, with the Gameshow weeding out the chaff/solidifying Kane's fate (eternal slave, K9 cap, or K10+), Callista showing herself inside KG, and Cole now free, the "clock" can't be delayed any longer, things have to start ticking away.
I just wish we had more time to play with Pod W2.

Yeah...that could have been some fun interaction...we've actually only had one 'training' session....and considering Angelica (T2 romance) is still only a K4...and the board have high hopes for her....she going to have to have a spectacular rise up the ranks in just a few episodes...very much like DomKane does.
