Thanks for the info, Silver. And it seems my gut feeling about Cass didn't let me down. I've written here before that Cass, from her very first appearance (notwithstanding her whims of getting a pay raise or wanting to have fun turning into fake cops), seemed to me to be a reliable enough person that Olivia could really trust..So I'm glad with what Tess wrote. I like Cass, and I wouldn't want to punish her or worse.

Ohhh, I do have saves where she is not loyal, just for the lulz.....but that flag has not been used (just like flags set back all the way in Ep3), along with most of them.....anyone thinks that flag will not come back to bite them in the ass at some point....especially as you get not one...not two...but three opportunities to grab that flag.

Just one more update as I am working hard on things -- I have run a bit behind my target date but am still very close to finishing. I underestimated how much of a backlog of business work was needed to be done by taking time off prior for getting the Test Version out in time. So it's really been non-KG demands that have impacted me a bit more than I hoped. But I am formally kind of saying I believe from this post -- I am giving notice that it's likely between 36-48 hours or so for me to release 8.2FinalA. I have to still give myself a little wiggle room in case something pops up, but I have decided to stop any further work after my last set I am working on tonight and a bit more tomorrow. Here is some basic stuff about what has changed from Test ---> FinalA
Sub Path: + 125 renders
Dom Path: + 103 renders + likely 82 renders (185) - I had wanted to try and be ambitious and include the entire 200 render scene I have in my head, but I am going to cut it short and stick with 80ish and continue it in Part 3.
(I am sad to say DMs impacted me about this decision. I enjoy working on this game a lot...except around this time. Some people are unhinged...I've almost never had to ban people from Patreon of all places...but yeah...)
Animations: Approximately 115 added
Tess Outro: 29 renders
Anais Intro to TQA: 9 renders
Anais TQA Preview scene: 33 renders
Rough Raw Totals Added: 381 renders + 115 animations
The biggest time sink was really just going over everything and testing a lot/correcting, mostly thinking about Part 3 too.
Also, as a side note -- if you are having trouble loading saves but used a mod in the past, there is nothing I can do on my side as I don't control/use/understand third party mods. I can only really be responsible for my own content/creations, just like if say a Skyrim mod made by a third party causes issues with the base game. I and others have extensively tested saves from both Season One (Episoides 1-7) going to Episode 8.1 and saves going from 8.1 to 8.2 and not discovered any problems.
My intent with FinalA is that it's a full content version with no future changes needed in that sense. On rare occasions, I have added a tiny bit of content just because I felt like it...but I'm pretty sure I won't feel that way this time. It is possible a Final B version will be made more likely just to clean up tiny errors that are caught, but SAVES shouldn't be an issue as the intent is that this is a Final Version and any changes would be more cosmetic/corrective. But if that is not the case, (a critical error is discovered) then I will let everyone know.
The first post for this version will be released to the $8+ tier, but it is my intent that the next tier should get it pretty soon afterwards if nothing nasty is discovered.
The Android version will take a bit of time after the Final is released (I want to make the Android version is truly a final and only needs to be done ONCE) because it requires third party help and the base game files/program can only create a Windows/PC and Mac version of the game. So expect those two right away but a bit of a delay for Android.
That's it for now, but I'll keep plugging away. (Not likely to respond to much for a bit, don't take it personally I'm just juggling a lot right now and focused.)

I'm Not even a Dom Player But just seeing Miss Tess get harassed by a parts of the community to the point of her not making content, specifically for that side of play just makes me so mad!... Rough example - if 1 person is accused of a crime, there is no way their guilt can extend to the entire country they reside in. So it is in this case.

First we swallowed being deprived of our solo romance with Jules (because of a couple unnamed assholes who supposedly complained about this demon flag content to the feds or whatever they demanded of her?)...And now Tess has apparently decided to extend this practice of disadvantaging Dom players to the main route as well.

So in this case, I completely agree with Silver. It's a disgrace and a shame that Tess is deliberately depriving Dom players of of some long awaited content by making them scapegoats because of a couple of unnamed jerks. And that doesn't do her any honor.

Normally, I would agree but this is the same group that convinced her to kill a whole path because they couldn't help themselves. Honestly she just needs to start eating that costing and start banning people, it cant be worth the money that she gets to get that kind of harrassment.

Am I missing some context? I don't see where it's specifically dom players DMing Tess in this case unless I overlooked something on discord. I feel it's much more likely that players in general (not one side or the other) that were harassing her to get the update out faster which caused her to split this scene across the two parts.

I'm pretty opinionated at times but I would 100% never DM any developer (especially one I like) to encourage them to work faster or try to harass them in any way. I'm glad KG is far enough along that Tess will most likely see it to completion because this is absolutely the stuff that causes other developers to quit permanently.

This ^^ For any reason at all really other than to say, great job, keep it up.

She slightly annoys me at times with her disingenious remarks and insulting people's intelligence (regarding her general playerbase) going on about 'how few' people caught this, or noticed that blah blah subtletly/hints/nuances...I'm pretty sure (or would like to at least think) most catch them, many of us here certainly catch them and we discuss them (sometimes a little too obsessively lol) and there's little point in Discord as for all its popularity (as a VN), the server is rather dead at times (Tess said that most 'subs' tend to contact her directly on patreon after a recent conversation was brought up regarding the server demographic). I really do sometimes wonder if she actually truly does understand her overall, general playerbase.

We just don't constantly bombard the dev with questions/platitudes and sucking up (either by DM or in Discord). While I do at times talk to Tess privately, it's usually to confirm/ask something/have her check something for me and only when neccessary (or when for the second time, giving her back all her lost mask images). I would never personally dream of DM'ing a dev and saying, really great scene with x and y...I caught this/that/the other (or worse, as you mention, demanding something). The dev ain't my/your friend...if I feel the need to say something like that I'll do it here and tag them or on their server, not DM them.

Why is it the always Dom side getting fuck over? One of the reasons I loved this VN is because you could be good, evil, Dom or sub. The way it going Tess going to lose all the paying patrons who mostly play the dom side

This might veer a little OT but I'll try to bring it back at the end. When I first got into AVNs, it was around the time Depraved Awakening finished and City of Broken Dreamers was just taking off. I had just finished Acting Lessons (yikes) and was very interested in VN development. I threw money at some developers I liked, joined their discords in some of the higher tier rooms, (expecting to get away from the "common rabble" and talk shop about the VN) and got disillusioned extremely fast. 10/10 times, other people kill it for me before the dev does. Loved chatting with Philly (using him specifically since I mentioned DA and CoBD) but eventually I just cut back on my support and kept it to lurking. From the other Patreons I support and looking in their discords, it's much of the same.

All that to say, I prefer chatting here when it comes to talking about a project. Sure it comes with the stigma of pirate land and you get some questionable IQs but there's something about it I like better than developer discords. From the time I've been in Tess's, it's not that much different other than getting info faster than finding it here. Discord is great when I need to join friends in voice chat for gaming, not so much when it's either an echo chamber or cesspool of way too many people there for only one thing.

That's more than half the renders. That's not a small amount, and I imagine as she develops part 3 more, some of said renders will likely get lost in the planning phase. So while it's not as bad as losing a whole route, it's still problematic.

So the Doms players have to wait an extra 4- 6 months for those Renders Like MilesEdgeworth said what if Tess forgets about them those extra 80-2oo something renders what then for us Dom players? Looking back Kane missing the party makes sense and Tess gave us Dom players some action with Sam but this getting out of hand we Dom players keep getting fuck over

In my opinion, it's time to start behaving like a grown up and intelligent woman (just block inadequate subscribers/patrons and, if necessary, return their money), instead of freaking out because of the incomprehensible outpourings of a couple of jerks in her DM, while infringing on a huge number of normal and adequate players who don't behave like that. (all the things Mav wrote about in the post above)

And when a developer does not respect part of his own audience (players), allowing himself to “punish” it - it is not good for the image of the developer, nor the game itself...And the lost trust is not easy to restore.
