I didn't like the fact that both of those bitches (Phoebe and Celeste) had the nerve to try to buy Kane's loyalty, and in such a cheap and primitive way. If they had any brains, they would have at least offered Kane a long-term strategic alliance that would benefit both sides, instead of throwing him some pathetic handout in the form of an unneeded mansion in the desert. So I'm not interested in them.
I'd argue that it's more of an icing on a cake to seal the deal. You've already spent some time with both of them, so, clearly you like similar 'hobbies'. And hey, I don't mind the blatant way it (the mansion) was offered to us - after all, that's probably the first REAL piece of power/wealth that we'd gotten. All the Karlssons just give us empty (so far) promises of future power, while Phoebe knows what's up and just gives you something tangible, concrete. And while Celeste has dropped in my ratings (being the stupid cruel bimbo with little brain power), Phoebe soars all the way to S-tier - she's hot, clever and cruel - just how I like them.

To be fair, Phoebe and Celeste have little to offer. The alliance is the only thing of real value they can offer, and that's implied with the mansion offer. However, taking them out and just using Claudia seems like the better way to go to secure that alliance unless you're on the evil path, that's a different story.

I agree, Claudia might be preferable as an ally. Plus, she's just a sweet, unspoiled, and smart girl who knows the rules of the game and is willing to learn and obey. We can mold what we want out of this barely opened bud, and there's no fixing these two. In my playthroughs, I lean toward the more “gray” path (GreyDom Kane), but there are some "purely good" saves, and even a couple of evil ones (but the latter are not my priority).

Anyway, which of the regulars chose the mansion and which of the regulars chose the fake revolution?

I chose the revolution cuz I ain't about to be at crazy assed Celeste's beck and call, that plus being a troublemaker is more fun

Well, I can say one thing: before 0.8.2 pt2 revolution was at the bottom of the list for me (among other Dom saves), but now this save has taken a much higher place in it. And this path promises to be much grander and more interesting than I had envisioned it.

"The Mansion”..I don't care about Phoebe and Celeste, I don't want to owe them anything, I don't want to cosplay gigolo and pretend I like all the shit they do.:coffee: But I am willing to tolerate them as minions of Alessa (harem), who is the main prey for my Kane in this trio.

I have a question that has awoken me from my lurking slumber...

Is Junko romance required to get the revolution flag? If so that's pretty specific.

I'm pretty sure all it takes for "fakerevolutionunlock" is to have >=5 evil points.

you also have to turn down the mansion to get the evil points. As for the first question, Stan will be along in a bit he's the dom good expert here or Mav if he's in a good enough mood since he's all about the flags

"fakerevolutionunlock" is just the flag name for agreeing with Dominique to squash the rebellion.
Don't think you have to turn down the mansion for that scene.

As for the revolution flag - yes, you should have a romance with Junko. The point is that your DomKane should be very good in terms of moral compass and decisions he makes, a kind of "white knight" and the relationship with Junko is a kind of litmus test that will show the influential people in the "revolutionary faction" that you are pure of heart and willing to follow the path and join them (and that you can be trusted).

Later, when you meet Dominique, if you choose her over Junko, you can get a romance dominiqueromanceopen flag and junkocheat flag, thus opening a "good romance" with Dominique, but it won't get you off the revolutionary path, so you don't have to be celibate for the whole game and be faithful to Junko only.

As for the flag fakerevolutionunlock - this is an evil version of the revolution flag, as the name implies, you will be on the path that should prevent the revolutionaries from achieving their goals.

Yeah it makes sense. Still, you'd think that now we know that Raven is in on it there would be another way in if you impressed her.

Similar to how in episode 7 you needed to impress evil Dominique for evil revolution but in chapter 8 the requirements loosened. (fakerevolutionunlock or dominiquestestpass or evil>=5)

I guess the rebels really trust Junko's judgement.

omg im such an idiot. It just occurred to me why veronica couldn't be killed. With Astrid I assume she blasts off somewhere/ put in cryo. WIth Veronica, she probs needs to be around to reverse the effects of whatever she did to ensure Kane cant knock a woman up.

I don't think we should reduce Veronica's role to a purely utilitarian one where she controls his seed so that no one can get pregnant by Kane until that stage of Gambit when such a thing would be allowed. Yes, Gambit isn't important to V, but that doesn't mean she's going to provide an easy ride for Kane or those who claim to be his wife).

I think we should dig a little deeper. Not too long ago, Tess answered a question about Veronica's identity and her massive role in the lore of KG universe, and I think the main reason why she can't die is because of that ->#14,198 (Question 13)

But are they really rebels or just convinced reformers?

They are neither. Political systems are not based on choosing between two versions of a power fantasy fap session. It's perfectly clear what the revolution flag does and what the requirements are, if you use a mod or the dev's wt:

If the player has the choice flag revolutionunlock (if you have romanced
Junko, been a good instead of evil Kane, and spoke with Otto at night,
there is a good chance you have this flag) scene jumps to junkoplay
Or read the in-game text blocks verbosely expositing what the choices mean. Philosophical musings about a bdsm porno game does not do much to help people who just want to know how to get a scene.

I answered the person's question, in addition to attaching info from WT, so don't get all smart ass, meddle in someone else's conversation and tell me what to do. And if you have nothing substantive to say, pass by and don't interfere with people's communication.
