Update possible release dates...
Hi everyone!
I am keeping this one a bit shorter as I'm racing to try and finish everything and maximizing time as best as possible! Here's a rundown of where I am and some possible release dates of the Test Version.
Sub Path:
I have run through it myself and with editing people enough now and consider it "ready" for a Test Version release. All music/dialogue/render edits are pretty much set and I have moved on to the dom path.
Secret Sub Path:
I have also run through this path and edits as well with a few people. I am going to run through it a few more times personally but generally also consider this stuff done. I have shifted mostly to the dom path.
Dom Path:
The pics below are part of the last scene I am working on and it's almost done. I have run through the rest of dom path and already added music/first and second run edits for every scene except this one so I'm very far along on editing. The edit help is starting on this path on Monday/Tuesday and hopefully this goes well. I'll have it start even without this final scene being completely done just to get the ball rolling.
When these runs are done, I will compile the overall Renpy version of the game into a "game" file and that will be the final runs of testing. Unless there are major errors found, I may ignore very small errors and put them on a list for the Final Version. Once it's a game file, I am hoping all major problems are gone by that point. But if something bad comes up, I will recompile the game.
Possible Release Dates:
I always want a bit of flexibility just in case something comes up both in real life or weird errors I don't know about yet.
But generally, in a perfect situation it might be possible for the Test Version to release by Halloween/this weekend. I don't know if this will happen but this is a goal I have right now. But if I don't quite feel it's ready, I'll put it off until I feel good about it.
If I don't quite feel it's ready this weekend, I'll aim for getting it out during the following week. But I'm pretty close now so I have very little doubt that it will be ready by the following weekend at worst.
The update will end up over 4,000 renders, and maybe even more towards 4,500 by the time the Final Version is done. I have already outlined the extra scenes I want to insert from the Test Version to the Final Version and will be working quickly on these once the Test is out.
Please remember that the Test Version is by design intended to be just that -- a Test Version that may need a bit of work. I won't have all the animations in yet, and I would really appreciate any feedback or other errors you find! Hopefully, the major bugs/errors will all be gone, but there are always little things that are likely to be caught when a much larger group of people get access to the game. So any helpful tips are appreciated!
The Test Version will also not have an intro/outro quite yet although I'm kind of close to finishing them as well.
Anyway, it's after midnight now so I will try and get some rest but thank you for the patience/support and I'm working hard to get this out ASAP! Thanks!

And why should this bother the EvilDom at all? After all, if you don't impose some fictitious standards on his personality, which currently exist only in the minds of individual players, then in essence, this is the path of maximum selfishness, a willingness to walk over people, betray them, sacrifice them, friends, and sometimes even kill the people. And all for the sake of gaining power.
So in the context of the EvilDom, your argument about collars simply doesn't work. This route is not at all the path of Robin Hood, and certainly not the path of some kind of “righteous avenger.” So don't kid yourself. You play as a person who, through your efforts, is rapidly turning into the same evil sadist as the people around him.

Speaking strictly from the evil dom perspective, Veronica's control over those collars makes her a threat, she effectively neutered Alexander because of it and he was all powerful, can you imagine what she could do to me. Perhaps I can work with my hacker sister to fix that situation.
Also Veronica's got loyalty problems, she killed her own father, how could I trust her not to kill me?

I would like to point out three other people who could also potentially cause problems: the three C's = Cynthia, Callista, and Cole

As long as I don't screw over the dekocks, I believe Cynthia would back me especially if I become the head of the Karlssons. Cole will likely be too busy working on his plant problem to oppose me. Callista would definitely be a problem but she'll be useful as a veronica shield as long as I hide my darker impulses from her.

According to world states, Veronica, Cole, Callista wont be in evil dom faction. But yeah, Cynthia would back Kane just because he is a decock conquering karlssons and she wont care if he is evil because she is even more a bigger evil lol. Remember how she killed slave?
But I dont know how if effects Nadia. Because Callista trying to change her revenge mindset. Hope Kane can able to do something to put her in evil dom faction.

Personally, I assume Callista isn't stupid and has probably already realized that her son, Kane, is on the fast track to becoming even worse than Alexander. I don't think she'll like that.
Regarding Cynthia, I completely agree with MilesEdgeworth . What if Kane doesn't take the throne? (Regardless of whether he follows the good or evil path)

Nadia will obviously be torn between being good (siding with her biological parent/parents) or evil (siding with her adoptive parents). I think we can safely assume that Kane will be the deciding factor for her.
Also, I don't think Callista will be as opposed to evil Kane as everyone thinks. Obviously it will break her heart and she's not going to help him so much on his evil conquest, but she's said she wants Olivia win the gambit regardless if she's good or evil. Maybe an evil Kane is better than a dead Kane as far as she's concerned. Besides, for all we know, Callista could die soon anyways.
