I have a question for the insiders: What's the deal with version number 0.8.3.1? Does this mean that there will be further updates beyond v0.8.3? .2, .3, etc.?
I mean.. at least you saved yourself a few hundred bucksLol, I got blocked by the creator on Patreon for leaking.
There's another possibility: Maybe Tess really wrote a document with a fuckton of pages.. Full of incoherencesThe writing has always had major issues. Most people don't read books and don't know what good writing is. And that's fine, it's really all relative and pointless. I don't believe for a second she wrote out 200 pages or whatever of content, if she did it was scribbles and rambling, not an actual outline or treatment. Most of this is clearly made up as she goes along for every update.
Which again, is totally fine. It's a porn game, and it's a great one. But it was always mind boggling to me to treat this is as high literature, as some have tried to.
Her Initial plan for episode 8 is three parts. 8.1, 8.2, 8.3.I have a question for the insiders: What's the deal with version number 0.8.3.1? Does this mean that there will be further updates beyond v0.8.3? .2, .3, etc.?
I won't deny it, but I was kind of expecting your answer. And I won't deny that I don't approve of her decision! Her Initial plan for episode 8 is three parts. 8.1, 8.2, 8.3.
Both 8.1 & 8.2 released as whole parts. But, she changed plans and divided 8.3 into two parts namely 8.3.1 & 8.3.2.
8.3.1 (test version) is released, soon she will release 8.3.1 final release.
And god knows when she will develop and release 8.3.2 (which intended to the last part of episode 8).
Yea, but no one (including Alessandra) actually knows what Olivia is truly thinking. She lies as easily as she breaths. Hell, even her thoughts (which only the readers see) are lies.
What's bumming me out though is that it now seems that Olivia and Alessandra have known each other for a long time, which makes their first meeting in episode 1 completely nonsensical. Before this update, the logical conclusion was that Olivia knew more than she let on when she had first met Alessandra, and that Alessandra knew that Olivia knew more than she was letting on. But now it seems that they have known each other the whole time which makes that whole conversation they had when they met completely absurd. I've always thought that the writing was fantastic, but now I'm starting to have doubts. This update was doo-doo.
It's caused by the increasing number of renders per update due to more animations and branching of the story ...I won't deny it, but I was kind of expecting your answer. And I won't deny that I don't approve of her decision!
Did you re-read the first scene of Season 1 with Alexander Karlsson in the hospital, now knowing that Olivia knew the doctor?Yea, but no one (including Alessandra) actually knows what Olivia is truly thinking. Yea, I mean we knew this like 5 episodes ago...Did you re-read the first scene of Season 1 with Alexander Karlsson in the hospital, now knowing that Olivia knew the doctor?

It seems Tess planned the deception of the players right from the start to have more surprising reveals throughout the VN ...
The further the story develops the more Juliete gets explained and Domonique just sounds more "super evil" for super evil sake.Man, Dominique's bullshit excuses for her sadism in her "good" path were really disgusting. Even insulting.
There's no way to redeem that bitch. At least Juliette's honest about her nature.
Was acknowledged earlier this year around three paths were no longer in the picture.yea the game is getting really big which likely means not only will we lose certain paths, but will also likely lose the ability to kill characters during the game since that would create a need for even more renders.
Mhm, I don't like when devs divide chapters into many partsHer Initial plan for episode 8 is three parts. 8.1, 8.2, 8.3.

My blind guess (might be wrong) is.. She got stuck in the storytelling. She knows her destiny (planned factions and endings already), but lost the path to destiny and going round in circles.Mhm, I don't like when devs divide chapters into many parts, it feels...disrupted.
I mean, she is spliting three parts into more parts
The amount of renders must be enormous?
It's more : ... getting lost in details ...My blind guess (might be wrong) is.. She got stuck in the storytelling. She knows her destiny (planned factions and endings already), but lost the path to destiny and going round in circles.
Wow, thanks for telling me that this game never going to be completed lol. Very sad. It's more : ... getting lost in details ...

I think you are both right. Adding each path increases the complexity almost exponentially. This creates it's own problems, but if you loose focus in your writing, all these paths become nearly impossible to resolve. You cannot figure out where to continue with the story, because you have created too many possibilities. While the player is only dealing with possibly one or two paths, the developer has to maintain a story with all of those paths. If you are not 110% focused, you loose your ability to maintain almost any path to get to the final destination. Your story lines begin to fall apart and start to go in circles. My blind guess (might be wrong) is.. She got stuck in the storytelling. You guys are leaving out one major loophole. This is a story that easily allows Tess an out by killing, trading or selling a few people. Heh, Jus' Sayin'yea, she has her traditional story, which is easy and straightforward. However then she has to then split up the non traditional part of the story into dom and sub. Then she has to split those two paths up according to levels. Its easy to see how the story can get out of hand from what one planned.
If Im not mistaken her original plan was for 14 endings, that's pretty much impossible with a one person operation.
