So, in your selfserving opinion, anyone who offers a service or product that doesn't meet up to your (probably impossible) standards is not allowed to ask money for a compensation for their time. Not to mention you're pirating the game like a crook and complaining about it, implied if this is what you truly believe. I think that's a pretty dumb way of thinking... very low iq indeed.
Besides. The game is great. What are you even talking about. If any game on this entire site should get on a list of 'deserving monetary compensation for a great contribution to the h-culture', then it should be team Remtairy for trying to up the standards.

Besides anything you said, you're missing the point here. There is a complete game available on Steam. The product is in it's finished state. It's not a gacha game, there is no promise of continued development, and they did at least a decent job cleaning up bugs and sticking to polishing the game after release. It's not fair to demand more and more.
And yes the DLC had been announced and placed on the horizon, he adresses that, but it's not the main game. There was even a beta, so he's not pulling a yanderedev. I think that's a good comparison to make here.
And no man, the players demands is not all that matters, not by a long shot (players didn't design the game for one, players judge a product with their wallet and are not involved in the development journey), and you're naming a bunch of mass production companies with normie-AAA-titles that enlist hundreds of people to their firm they have to feed. That's like comparing your local restaurant to mcDonalds. It's not politicized or drowned in bureaucracy... Gremory is a local mom and pop shop just trying to make good food and doing the things they love to do. And it seems the joy is being sucked out of it.
I don't know why people have such a hard time cooping with reality. But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on wanting to be toxic or not, since at least you made some reflection on the way you sound a bit harsh. Dissapointment, I can understand, but the reasoning not. Your argument may not be solid, but at least you have that sense of decency still present. I commend you.

The fact he even released a DLC like Stray pubes (which I remember some guy on this thread thought up like a year ago and worked up some art for as I gave feedback on said art for 'a mod') is already quite spectacular imo. Not coming through on promises doesn't bother anyone when it comes to politicians. So people should look in the mirror if they want to send death threats. Go murder some politician or something, at least they deserve it.

I don't think the issue is that he doesn't want to make content for the GYM DLC. It's the fact that his brain is frozen on how to mechanically do it in a way that he and rem accepts. He's essentially writer blocked being the only writer in a company.

I would never have gone seen it either if that design stayed. But let's be real. That change only happened due to the fanbase, which is usually divided on almost everything but the original Sonic games, Sonic 06, Sonic Generation, Sonic Frontier, and movie Sonic design, has united for the outcry.
There's probably an element of that, but IMO there's also some stubborness going on (in that they had a vision of what they wanted to do, and being told that that doesn't match up with what other people wanted is difficult to accept) and also even though Rem didn't mention it, the fact that putting his hands up and saying they made a mistake, going back and just caving to what people want would also be a signifcant (and expensive) timesink, which for a DLC is too much to justify.

Unfortunately true. Rem practically shot himself in the foot now. He should have just released the DLC anyways, as after all this time, he is in a perma-lose-lose situation. If he and Sachi rework the idea, the price might go up and people already shitting on the DLC will have the justification to say Rem is price-gouging (which will be more true than not, but not the for the reason they will use). But if he makes no attempt to make changes, then what was the point of waiting all this time for?

Some takes here are something. Did anybody even bother to look at the feedback the Gym Beta got? The vast majority didn't demand a rework or something. They just wanted some sort of gameplay added that is more in line with what KP is about. And there were multiple ideas people were throwing around, that would not need any more CGs or voicework or anything.
Also just as a Side Note, the idea that they wanted the Gym to be something unique and different, well they failed in achieving that. It is basically Glory Hole 2.0, with that the Desire System is pointless, as a pure Karryn there is no reason to do the Side Job and as a Slut Karryn you just pick what you want to see, for no real reason other to look at pretty pictures. Also there is no direction on what you should do. You just do stuff. That is why the Side Job gets stale extremly fast.
