Fair enough about the first point, although it is highly assumptive from both of our parts. It is due from the negative reaction to the DLC's testing, not so much the need of making it which doesn't conclude to the break. Also, the DLC was tested by fans not actual QA testers as far as I am aware, you have fans talking about what they like, while things are sided in the same conversations about game stability/bugs and expectations, I've seen people chatting on the discord, hard to scope the overall reactions.

Secondly, you can't create a singular cohesive vision based solely on what audience think or for what they desire, absolutely not, dude why are you so hell-bent on just being wrong with an extremely narrow-minded POV about a subjective artistic medium while listing the most corporate casual consumer examples imaginable... It's like you understood nothing of what I said, or simply too thick-headed to accept that it's not how art is made. How can you align with the fans if there aren't any? You do realize there is pre-production and a conception phase to all games, games that are a complete niche like life-sims, or games as cult favorites with their own fanbases of people that specifically interested in what said game provides. Most games don't have early access, and many don't even have QA testers, it's just out, and whether you like it or not doesn't matter as long as there is an audience, but even then those games aren't created for a specific audience or profit factor in mind always, because otherwise THERE WOULD LITERALLY BE NO UNIQUE NEW IDEAS, ever. Risk taking isn't to be downplayed, and it completely downplays whatever bs you said. There is no such thing as aligning with the audience because unless your game is factually broken or unfinished (like many of the shitty examples you provided), it will be in someone's tastes while others hate it. Art is subjective and the fact you think it's solely based on what an outlet thinks of a creation, as in that's how it's shaped... You're part of the problem in this modern industry dude, oh boy how artists hate your architype.

Either way, it is whatever dude. We probably gave a lad a headache reading these paragraphs. Just agree to disagree, you're clearly not looking for a change of mind, be it in the wrong or right...

Edit; Btw, to others, I'm not saying the criticisms towards Rem aren't applicable, in fact they're as most aren't about his vision but the lack of content. This conversation turned into a whole "are creators allowed to do their own visions or are their works just duplicates of what audience say they want".. And if anyone agrees with that sentiment, I don't even know anymore.
Yeah, this is too big to respond to, it seems like you responded to nothing I said, and going on some tangent about the need for creative freedom. so I'll try summarise the main points.

Obviously, the conception and creation of the game is solely dependent on the artist. And if it provides something that players want, it'll gather a fanbase and support the game. And in situations where its an ongoing project then it'll need to provide what the fanbase wants. Notice how every step of the way the fanbase being satisfied is crucial to making the game a success

its actually idiotic to think the game was made purely for altruistic intentions lol. This game and 99% of every game released is created in the hopes that it will be a success.

Literally, nothing I said destroys unique ideas. As long as those ideas are what your fanbase wants. Unique ideas are actually often what people are looking for.

Risk-taking is important sure but if the risk doesn't play out, you either double down on your own vision and destroy your reputation and support or you concede to the demands of the fanbase and continue being a success. aka the Sonic movie

Seeing artists screw the fanbase over and over again, both indie and AAA for greed has skewed my outlook on artists tbf. I admit i'm quick to see the worst in artists and the best of the player base, but i think in this day and age that outlook is warranted.

Besides anything you said, you're missing the point here. There is a complete game available on Steam. The product is in it's finished state. It's not a gacha game, there is no promise of continued development, and they did at least a decent job cleaning up bugs and sticking to polishing the game after release. It's not fair to demand more and more.
And yes the DLC had been announced and placed on the horizon, he adresses that, but it's not the main game. There was even a beta, so he's not pulling a yanderedev. I think that's a good comparison to make here.

And no man, the players demands is not all that matters, not by a long shot (players didn't design the game for one, players judge a product with their wallet and are not involved in the development journey), and you're naming a bunch of mass production companies with normie-AAA-titles that enlist hundreds of people to their firm they have to feed. That's like comparing your local restaurant to mcDonalds. It's not politicized or drowned in bureaucracy... Gremory is a local mom and pop shop just trying to make good food and doing the things they love to do. And it seems the joy is being sucked out of it.

I don't know why people have such a hard time cooping with reality. But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on wanting to be toxic or not, since at least you made some reflection on the way you sound a bit harsh. Dissapointment, I can understand, but the reasoning not. Your argument may not be solid, but at least you have that sense of decency still present. I commend you.
Why is everyone responding to me with massive paragraphs lol. Im not responding to this.

Based off the latest subscribestar post I think they've finally reached the milking it stage : /
The entire game is already completed and shipped. Honestly it amazes me that in a pirate game forum where one of the best lewd games of the year is, where it had ontime builds posted, consistent developer progress reports, and then a full feature complete release that people still are complaining that...the devs aren't making as much new content as fast as the pirates want for a game that is complete.

If you want "milking it", look at other fucking games. We have the various monstergirl ranch games with only tiny numerical changes for years on an incomplete game with no dev updates, or monstergirl island with a straight up scammer running it with no changes or even updates for years, the 1 hour of work shovelware copypaste games. But no, complain that the fully complete game with constant dev updates and progress reports is "milking it" because what, a DLC for the finished game is coming along slowly?

Yea honestly remtairy are one of the exceedingly few developers that have actually managed to complete a good, original porn game. Some people might mention meltys quest but that honestly felt like the typical jhrpg copy pasta that gets posted here every few days so I'd disagree with that one. But at least they have completed one good game, much more than can be said for 99% of hgame devs, both japanese and western. Saying that they're milking it is kinda ridiculous.

I remember there's a vn game where the dev was just recycle old content and when confronted by being lazy because he did nothing but have the same character (both Male & Female, just reskinned with different hair color), he just lash out and threw tantrum all over the place. Can't really remember the game title cuz the game itself now was just somewhere in oblivion of F95zone

ok so this game is well made and all but if i'm being real i just wanna get to the h-scenes. what's the quickest way to get to them? i know you have to lose a battle and then they take you somewhere but you can't really just surrender immediately. also, how to start doing the side jobs (stripper/waitress)?
Start on easy, rush through to the 3rd floor and beat the shit out of Aaron. Now that you have everything open to you, buy side jobs through edicts, do them, suppress riots without trying too hard, and you'll get all the scenes eventually. If you're winning too easily even without trying, activate "cheats" through the options, they're made to make Karryn's situation worse.

I just found this weird ass website, described as a "karryn's prison fansite" where the author describes the game in varying degrees of accuracy, correctly conveying that the game focuses on karryn's attempts to manage an all male prison, but then goes on to describe it as a "Text based game for android" or as "Karryn's prison for linux" where "there is a little combat but it is not the main focus". This is clearly some sort of... I don't know, but some sort of malicious website in some way or another, maybe if only to farm ad revenue or to direct people to some sort of scam or virus download perhaps?

I'll put some of the highlights in the spoiler. Not going to link to the site because it probably wants to give your pc super aids. I only found it because the bing AI used it as a source when I asked it to describe the game. I realize that this is basically just them using as many search terms as possible to get it to show up, which it doesn't on google, but i still found it funny.

Nothing more than ads revenue copy and paste site, leads from one of this site to the next and so on, if there is a download somewhere down the line it might be a virus or some fubar installer what drops other ads ware on your computer.

Hello, I would like to know how to keep all the stray pubic hairs visible on karryn like on this picture on the left when she is talking, because they are not all present on the main picture on the right? If someone can help me how to correct this, that would be really nice. please
Bump, if a person knows in which js file it is necessary to modify to have the same result as the image on the left for the image on the right? that will be really nice.

Guess people are discussing the recent post about taking a month long break so I'm going to throw my take in as well, because I know everybody wants it.

On one hand, yes the game is in a complete state and in theory there would be nothing wrong with him saying "yeah I'm done here, moving on to the next." Now I think there are some serious rooms for improvement (Namely the 4th floor just feels obviously rushed, like forget about gym job why are there no edicts whatsoever and can't we get some spicey scenes with that pool down there?) but to my knowledge it was never promised that these changes would be made so I can't really be grumpy about getting something that was never intended to be made.

But as far as the gym dlc fiasco goes his essay of a post does give off major "wahwah boohoo woe is me energy", he has the right to take a break if wants just saying that's how it comes off as. Seems like they messed around with the dlc, gave it out to beta testing, received anything other than purely positive feedback, and had a mental breakdown over it. Maybe I'm wrong and people were sending him death threats because the gym shorts didn't ride up into karryn's snatch far enough or something but I doubt that's the case and they probably said the gameplay of it needed improvement (like every other sidejob except maybe stripping, lets be real they all kinda suck to play).

Short version, Guy has the right to "abandon" a game that's 100% complete but he is kinda being wimpy about it and the gym dlc stuff is silly
