Thanks God, the most part of mods are getting updates. Even sushikun mod will be updated after P-cup DLC release.

You could put how to solve the issue with glowing neon signs, big red glowing arrows pointing to it, and these people still wouldn't check the 1st page and see it. So all the suggestions of "put it on the front page", instead of crapping on them every time, don't know what I know about that exact thing being done, and it doesn't help at all. I've literally seen it in motion.

idk if u already solved it mate but just close steam if u are linux u gotta some other file managment but for windows just close steam i also have no idea why it bugs whit steam open prob cuz its also a steam game idk hope it helps

Or I can attempt to teach him the bare basics of how to solve his own issues. Seriously if it was a random issue buried hundreds of pages back it'd be one thing, but it's literally a constant stream of people (usually low post count accounts) asking the same thing.
Well usually it's because they just made the account or just don't use the site at all except for downloading.
Honestly and I know it's weird considering where we are and even just the context of this but that's why I have some level of empathy to the people asking.
Most probably don't even read the thread or have any idea what is going on here and just wanted to ask the question because despite what said here, F95 does for my own experience does it's best to make it a simple as possible to just download what game you want and if there's additional things needed to do would actually mention it.
And because of that logic and since the solution isn't told and mentioned at all in the first page, It make sense that it to think it could have been a much more unique issue and would at least ask for questions first because of that logic.
Obviously I get that they should have at least tried to search the problem on the Search Bar, I can't deny that fact but I don't think asking a question was a bad thing to do or at least warrant the sheer vitriol that some people act here when they do ask those question.
Honestly I would have though the one who asked must have hit them on the back hard considering those response because while yea like I know I'm pretty sure that they wouldn't be (hopefully) that affected those comments because this is the Internet and this is a Porn site.
But nevertheless most of the response given kind of goes extreme for the context of what this actually is which is them just asking a simple question and most are probably either just new here or just don't even use the site in general except to download stuff. At very least I find it very weird how harsh people actually react here even knowing the question is asked for so many times.
Anyway TL;DR because I know some people don't have the patience to read a novel that don't want to read.
People asking these question are most of the time probably new or don't use the site and F95 has given enough impression on how easy it is to just download and play games here so asking these question is more logical than people think.
Still think it's weird how harsh people can be with the response to the question from an outsider POV even knowing the context and I do still think that just adding a simple text explaining it in the download page would at least make the question not be as frequent.

Basic problem solving skills are a MUST online and in the real world man. If you can't use them, you're screwed. More tools then ever are at our disposal in society and on the internet. There's guides everywhere, video and articles on how to do things. In this case internet basics 101 and computer basics 101. Yes those are the names for them, I'm not being a smart aleck. All of this stuff goes under utilized, some people act helpless when they're not, and some are just misinformed and don't know about this stuff. I'm sure you could find a forum basics 101, I haven't tried looking for that one yet.

The sad thing is that this is true, there are few threads that this is still an issue even though there are big notifications just before the download section about what to do and yet people still come asking their questions.
It's just learned helplessness, giving up before actually literally trying anything else to improve their situation by themselves, they're the end result of giving the man the fish instead of teaching them how to fish.

Actually, you don't even have to be that specific to "Close Steam." Just search Closing or Close, and you should get replies almost immediately to the problem, because they might not know it's Steam causing the issue.

I think you're failing to see the point, the solution's given almost every page, people still ask. I've seen the 1st page have the solution on a different game, people still ask. Not much you can do to stop people from being lazy.
Enabling the behavior is definitely not the way to go about it though, because that will definitely cause people to see the handout given and then repeat the same behavior. Hence why we're trying to get people to do some super basic problem solving.

people with crippling porn addictions have no problem solving skills, who would have thunk it. this has been entertaining to read though gents. I'm on the fence of "use the search feature" or "literally just read a couple posts" mentality too. We have the knowledge of humanity at our finger tips and people today don't use it, whether they are lazy, stupid or just unaware, but at the same time, sometimes its hard to forget that everyone else is not you, and something as "simple" as a google search for you/us just goes over peoples heads.
