please don't take anything the wrong way, because i want to see you finish a game and be happy with it. did the contributor that left, or anyone that left leave feedback, or send you an email with anything useful to poke through?uhm.. hi.. not sure what to do atm...
I've been making this game since the summer.. around juni the first release came... my concern now when I lost a big contributer is that I only earn 13 dollars more then I did the month after the first release.. so now I'm abit unsure about the whole game... in around 4 months... the game will be a year old.. and I know not to compare to much to other games.. but I can easily see that the income for Kendra's world is really low... so abit unsure on the interest in my game at all right now... because it takes alot of time to make it.. (my time where I could do other things if not since this is my main income) so I'm abit unsure what ppl want... those Things I heard that ppl wanted changed so far is...
dont use voice I've gotten.. (some wanted more) and that my English are not good enough.. (but I've seen games with worse English suriving better) so I could need some better pointers now.. so far each update I've made have been bigger then the previous.. and I'm kinda loosing abit moral right now since I'm doing alot of work for little Income..
I know that not everyone cant help financialy.. but there is other way to support if you really like a game.. like advertising it.. helping to get it out.. because right now.. I got almost the same Income I had the month after first release... (sorry for beeing abit down when posting this)

with or without other feedback, i would say look mainly at three things.
1. regular updates. if your patreon is charging monthly, backers want progress. that's generally what grows games, consistency. probably a little difficult with your life at the moment, but even bad games will grow if updated regularly (ironically).
2. quality. if you can't provide topnotch renders in a timely fashion with your setup, then something else has to make up for it. your game has to be about something else. say intriguing or interesting story, or very involving characters, or just originality and surprise (stand out from a "market" full of clones).
3. but maybe most important? what do YOU see as succeeding? what is your goal? is this a passion to create or a needed income? neither is exclusive to having a big patreon, or exclusive to each other. i've seen devs that are all one, or both. but if you're passionate about it, and just love doing it, that shows. also helps with end of #2
that's all i got. take it for what it is. =) just my 2 cents from a random pirate on a pirate forum. yar har har. looking forward to stealing and playing future updates as i do kinda like this one.
