I do not think the problem with development is on the Coder, i think is with the Artist Nomo, he has just not been working as much as he used to over the last years. Coding wise Ren'py is simple, there is not much to do as far as i am concerned, the game did not have any complicated feature in a while.

The new art style was made cause Nomo is lazy, the CG have been recycled multiple times over the last patches and the scenes are after all mostly the same CG with some variations, which is understandable to a degree.

Also for that guy asking for my Discord, i posted about it the day i got kicked so just look for that day in the chat if you are interested, i am sure they message got removed, espacially considering that i was right. August is almost over and no part 3 of 0.13. Which means we got no full update over a year, you would think drawing porn and adding some text to it would take less time.

CG was already done in april, and as far as we know the writting was done around June. The last stream of Nomo was just drawing for fun, doing some fan art of a Bleach character, sorry but the problem IS the coding

Ridiculous...
I've been following them since the first noxian nights releases. I remember when they announced this game and took almost 1 year to get the first release out with promise that it would be an almost full game on first release. As they learned to program in renpy

Here we are years later with a half baked barebones game made in an tool as easy as game maker to use.

How can someone still support this sham is beyond me...

As far as I understand the new scene is actually complex in terms of renpy. Its a modular image, with multiple layers making up the full picture, allowing for lots of different variations that can be reused/have more added to them later down the line. From what I've seen in renpy games(I fucking despise renpy and all the 3d model vn garbo that gets dumped on this site,) which granted isn't much, no one's really doing this kind of stuff.

Not Ren'py, but the same code in a different language:

It's not that hard, but you need a bit of coding experience and a clear vision BEFORE you start mass producing assets.

Noxian Nights is a very, very basic RPG maker game with (almost) no coding. You shouldn't compare it to this one, except for the art.

They are developing this for 5 years.. 5! I took a college degree in that amount of time!
there is no excuse to not only have already learned but mastered such a basic tool, yet they have the most basic game renpy can produce.

why i dont support patreon and any pre-pay methods,it only promotes lazy bones, why cant we go back to the times when only serious and capable people made games? Not every weirdo in a basement with a pc.

The newest post on Hrienn's page is below. I'm sure none of us here are surprised to hear they tried something new, bit off more than they could chew, and ate shit for it. Even with the "new update schedule" where they shatter updates into shards they couldn't buy themselves enough time to get things working properly...

Hey everyone!

Where we're at right now:

The tavern CG (the modular one) ended up a bit more work on everyone's end than we anticipated. While we're pretty happy with the end outcome in terms of being able to adapt it without needing to extract every permutation of variables, we'll likely not being doing any more modular scenes like this due to the time and headache involved in it. We had intended to include the small minigame for the tavern and while we're still having a look at it, we haven't really been able to get it to work and feel like we want. We'll have a small revisit of it after release, and if we can't nail it down like we'd like, we'll move on to the next quest.

That said, while Nds was working on it, Nomo and Monsinne expanded the small Neve/Sabia repeatables we had planned, to a bigger quest that now has more repeatables than initially planned. Neve is able to both be put in a dom or a (slightly)sub position depending on how you choose to progress in the quest.

In terms of size, the tavern quest ended up being our largest quest by far, it and the Neve quest together along with their accompanying scenes are around 46k words, larger than some of our older patches entirely - with a lot of fun new scenes with different variants as well!

Additionally, the new male sprites are now fully finished and will be made use of in this quest and going forward.

Assuming that the last bit of testing goes well, we plan to have this out this weekend.

Almost as if i called it. I'm not saying i did, but the facts do line up.

And naturally i don't want to say that if they have a cool idea then they should not put it into the game and just repeat what's already done, but there is a point where even a cool idea should be left behind and we are a year past that point.

Either way it's good to hear that they put the time of the delay to use and Neve gets some action too.

Overall a bit facepalm-y, but not bad news.
