So, thank you
vrew754 and
Deefrost for the news, you are awesome.
I wonder if the "bigger events with more scenes" is anything like the tavern party was in Noxian Nights, because i am up for that. A bit more dynamic camp seems to be good too. I liked the teasing mini scenes in the recent patches and the sexy/fun interactions with the orcs. And this patch is supposed to have some important main story events.
The tent teaser pics look hot with 3 new variant for Sabia, vastly upgraded visuals and Neve and Bris joining in the fun? Yes please. And while i liked the sketches as a bit of visual aid for mostly text-based scenes, i'm glad they listened to their players and made the change.
The last part is the tricky one in this post as it has been pointed out already. The "make things faster and prevent future delays" sounds nice and partially true too, but even from the outside it doesn't seem entirely correct.
Now that Nomo found a style that can be done faster for these simpler scenes, he will probably be able to make those faster, but as someone pointed out a while ago (i'm sorry, i don't remember who), Nomo's drawing speed has been quite consistent over the patches. If this is true, then the bottleneck is usually either at the writing or the coding, so the updates will probably not be faster because of the new drawing style, they just might include one or two more simple scenes than the otherwise would have.
Similarly the future delays will probably not be caused by this, but as we get to interact with more humans we will still need new sprites for the men, since the game still only has the random armored dude one. This and a few others that we could already gather will almost certainly cause delays in the future.
Which brings us back to communication. This update post would have been 9/10 awesome (minus point for the "faster from now on part) if it was posted way earlier. It still counts as the end of the month update, the news are good and the teaser is hot, but the "bleed into may" just seem to have a great meme potential in this thread and with an upfront communication that could have been avoided.
Personaly as i mentioned i hope that they chose to post this now because they are just about ready to ship this patch and didn't want to get our hopes up before things were finalised, and it wouldn't be unprecedented either, but i obviously don't know that for sure.
Here's to the hope of a good patch.
