I honestly don't think less support/money would make the creation faster. They are three dudes with afaik normal jobs, who make this game as a hobby. I would like an update every month, too, but I think you guys would be less disappointed if you just accept one update every six months, I know I am.

Idk whats going on but with Sierra there were regular updates that had content in them apart from scenes. If you check the dev logs it slowed down after they left and I guess the new team has a hard time coming togheter and pick up from where they left since Nomo afaik is just the art producer and I really have no clue execpt that Nomo apperantly had someone who has been plagued by corona some time ago but other than that idk.

I guess the new team has a hard time coming together and pick up from [when Sierra] left.
The prevailing thought is that Sierra and Nomo had creative differences, and Sierra was also busy with her own projects (plural!) and thus she left. Neither Hreinn Games nor Sierra will elaborate further on that front other than that they separated "amicably" on good terms.

Sierra is an excellent communicator as evidenced in her own projects and was pretty good at building up hype talking about KoD despite its complexity and the team was doing a good job rolling out those early updates. They never recovered from losing Sierra as their PR asset.

The "new" team trying to gel together is an oft-quoted excuse since they were basically there since the beginning. Work started for the game in 2016 with Nomo and Sierra, and the first major release was in 2017. Monaco Dingo, a coder if memory serves, and Ndsferrari, the programmer, were part of the team in 2017. MD has since left and Monsinne, the writer, has been with Hreinn Games since 2018 at least but likely sooner when the other guys came on board. They've been using that tired (paraphrased) "the team is still coming together" excuse years after they've formed. This is fact. That grace period is long over.

Re: Nomo - Nomo is the artist, storyboarder, lore creator, and world-builder for the game. It's really his game -- his vision. Nomo went through a very rough time in the spring of 2020. Delays then, of course, were completely understandable. However, it's been over a year and the game has steadily been moving slower ever since. Well truthfully, the game was moving closer to its glacial pace even before then.

That's just the current state of things. The game's development is slow, simply put. And from what we know, with no good reason since Hreinn Games really don't tell us why in an earnest and honest manner. We all hope for the best but fear the worst -- that they're taking advantage of their supporters. If only they communicated better, they probably wouldn't appear quite as shady as some people believe them to be. But that's for each individual to decide if they are or not. I'm just laying down some facts in regards to the team. Alrighty guys, be safe, be kind, and stay awesome. Cheers!

How long until someone comes along again and says we're not allowed to notice negative things about the game and its development because we're not patrons?

the argument is never you shouldnt say something bad because you are not a patron, the argument is if you are not a patron you gain/lose nothing by complaining

And people tend to get bored hearing the same complaint for 100th time on this website, can just make an offtopic thread to complain its not that hard

that being said 90% of us here are 'pirates' we take what we can find and keep it moving no need to get hung up on a poorly communicated/executed development schedule

I was recomened this and 2 other games is it complete or still updated
Still updated, and the updates are quite slow, we've been waiting since april for it.
The game itself is high quality and it has a lot of content already, but if you are looking for a finished story, then this is not it.

question will this get a full game ? or completed
That's a tricky question. The devs didn't give any indication that they would stop working on this game, but the story is really big and we are nowhere near the last part yet. So while it doesn't look like the game would get abandoned, actually finishing the story will take years.

But from what you have said so far and seeing how you were directed here, you might be interested in this artist's first game Noxian Nights. It is finished, fun, it has a lot of content and aside from the new viewers, basically everyone is here because we liked that one, so i guess it would get a lot of recommendations too.

Might just be me but isn't it specifically because dumbass people will support the game no matter what that most patreon devs turn into lazy assholes? I blame the devs less than the porn-addicted stupid people they exploit.
This one right here gets it.
