oh okay I'm not here yet

Also I think my game is broken, I'm stuck just before "chaos in the camp"
I take my info from the walkthrough
I've done "Maply & The Hellhound", "The Tentacle Monster", "The Lakelord" and "Raiding part 2" ( well only raiding for Tekrok, because the other 2 won't talk to me ) and I already have 100% Kentark Training, so according to the walkthrough, this should trigger the next quest "chaos in the camp"

but "chaos in the camp" doesn't show up

Also I've found a other quest broken, looking at the walkthough it seem that one of my previous quest in incomplete
In the the "Kia's Lessons" quest , I didn't have the part with Elmy where you ask her some ingredient and escort her
but I could still continue the rest of the quest, until the fight between Lutvrog and Kia
I got the fight and then nothing else, I should be able to visit Kia to continue the quest, but instead when I go to the forest and then Kia's valley , I only have a message that say "....it seemed that she was too restless to talk for now."

I think all come from this, I can't complete the Kia's Lessons quest so I can't trigger the chaos in the camp quest
Hmm, i tried to recreate your situation.. Got all the quests set up, intentionally left out the part with Elmy and Kia was left there restless. After this, the first time i rested, the Chaos in the Camp triggered for me. The problem must be somewhere, but i don't know yet.

Weird... I don't know where it could come from then...
but thanks for testing

Fuck I really don't want to restart all over again , the amount of grind in this game will break my Ctrl key

So what exactly is the bottleneck here? The coding? Does anyone know that? I mean, I'm aware that most issues are usually the "behind closed doors" kinda deal, but are they communicating anything to anyone?

I remember supporting them years ago, before their reputation tanked so hard, and even then they rarely posted updates on Patreon. I doubt that that situation has improved, but maybe they posted something to the more "loyal" people on their discord?
Could be just laziness, or greed, who knows.

I really don't think that your conclusions are right here and i wish i was paid to say that.
Feel free to disagree with me but if you take a closer look at these developers, you can clearly notice a pattern in their activity that goes something like this :

Release an update -> Silence for 2-3 months -> Make a post about their progress -> Tell us that they are adding some new/extra content/feature, improving the game's system or reworking the old content -> Silence for another 2-3 months -> Tell us that the update is going to be delayed due to real life problems or extra work caused by their earlier decision -> Finally release the update after 5-6+ months -> Promise faster updates from the next time -> Rinse and repeat

They have shown this pattern for a long time now and the delays are only getting worse with each new update. I am not saying that they are doing this intentionally but their actions do not inspire much confidence, especially when they have failed to deliver in this fashion multiple times in a row.

If they really want to show their dedication, they need to put their money where their mouth is and deliver faster updates. I love this game as much as anyone on this thread and I would love to be proven wrong but it's naive to be hopeful about this game at this point unless the developers change their ways for the better.

I'd rather not say anything. Whenever I talk shit my comment gets deleted for trolling or spamming. Idk why, but I agree with what you say.

I don't think there is a bottleneck, I think the whole project has just grown beyond what their small team can easily manage, and it now takes them an extremely long time to make enough progress for each update. Think about it, even if coding was a bottleneck how much time would it realistically add between each update? A week? Maybe a month? Even if there was a bottleneck to fix I don't think it could speed things up a huge amount.

Spot on
The support platforms and dedicated patrons enable this behaviour.
As long as this attitude is rewarded, nothing changes.
These guys should have had their project shut down ages ago ...

No, i agree with this statement.

Hreinn developed a bad routine or rather they never learned how to do things well after each change they made to the team, engine, etc. Unfortunately they also became so averse to change that they apparently can't even consider positive suggestions either. This hurts their team just as much as it does their players.

I probably didn't express it well enough in my last post, but i simply don't see evidence of malicious milking from them yet. They did bury their heads into the sand for a long time now, but it seems to me that they want to keep developing this game. Regardless, you are right when you say that they have to change their ways, because the current state does not help anyone.

Just look at their patreon posts. Sep 2021 started work on .13, working on repeatables that didnt get added in .12. Nov 2021 - main quest is completed and .12 content has been added. Dec 2021 - .13 almost done expect it early 2022. Jan 2022 - .13 is almost done only now Monsinne has started to write the third major questline. How the shit does the update go from "almost done" to "writer STARTED writing third main quest"? 2 month silence. Apr 2022 - hey guys .13 is almost done for reals this time we added another cg. Now another month of silence. Should we bother expecting this in May? Who knows. Next patreon post probably going to be something along the lines of "update soon guys new scene is fully coded into the game and the writer has JUST STARTED writing text for it."

Getting onto their discord or patreon involves giving money to them, again :KEK: I learned my lesson with regards to this dev.

I didnt know you had to pay to join their discord, then again i dont really view kickstarter/patreon games too kindly, they are especially when its about porn,a trap meant to milk your hard earned cash.

Its time for people to throw the patreon trash to the bin and only pay for completed games again.

It is abandoned for now. They were supposed to be updating it so it could show all quests when you make a fresh playthrough.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Devs never stated that they will include old quest's to the quest log, (check the change log for v.11.) But for now, the feature is relatively new and fully updated to the latest version, that means it's not abandoned.

Why bother having a quest log if it won't show all the quests? And yes as a matter of fact, Nomo has previously stated in their Discord that the quest log would eventually list all quests as they come up for fresh playthroughs.

That's something they should've added from the start. Same goes for the repeatable and modular scenes. I doubt that any of those features will get added in the near future, simply because it's a huge amount of work to integrate it with the older updates.

well, add it to the long list of other obvious features the game should have. idk, when I check this thread I always feel disappointed, furious and hopeless about the future, but I like KoD too much to let it go. it's almost the same feelings I have for my dad
