Maybe a bit of an odd question, but the gallery shows scenes I oughtn't to have unlocked yet as being unlocked; is there any way to fix this and return them to a locked state? I tried deleting the old saves from previous versions in "%APPDATA%\RenPy\yadda yadda" but it didn't seem to help.
They use the file called "persistent" to store which scenes were unlocked. You can find that file in the save folder (appdata and also in the /game/saves folder).

I don't really see the problem though.

update post
Hey guys, just wanted to let everyone know where we are at.
.13 is very close to finished, there's a few things we want to add and still tweak and whatnot, but overall most of it is finished. We've had a good chunk of it finished for a while, and another chunk of it finished for still a fair bit. This is because our release schedule has been to complete several quests entirely, and release it as a large chunk of content.
While we do like that approach in theory, we realize it does result in longer periods with no releases. It has become more apparent as we have also begun to work on larger and more complex CGs and quests than in earlier patches. We've also heard a lot of the feedback regarding this release schedule. To that end, we want to adjust how we release our content.
Our plan is still to have a 'patch' be several quests and CGs, but instead of completing all of it and releasing it at once - which does necessarily require a longer amount of time to develop - we want to release it in smaller sections. So, for example, a patch might have 3 major quests, but we will work on, complete, and release one quest at a time. We're hoping that this will result in a faster monthly release schedule.
In regards to patreon tier rewards, they will still be relevant and based off of the whole 'patch' as opposed to each singular quest release. We will be giving an outline of what the patch will include at the start of the cycle so that everyone is on the same page as us - it is likely we will be sticking with a 3 quest per patch style.
Now - with .13, we are aiming to have it fully released by the end of June, and we will be doing the new system with it as well. The first quest in it is the Ylva quest, so we will be releasing it as soon as we have it cleaned up and finalized - early June for this. We'll then release the Vehlis one a bit later, finishing up with the Tavern quest. Once all three have been released, it will be repackaged as a full patch release with any edits/bugs fixed, and we'll begin working on the next one, along with the relevant patreon rewards.
We also have some additional repeatable scenes in the trading lodge with the shop orc that we'll add as well.
Thanks guys for all the continued support, it really is appreciated.
So the floating plane without fuel is finally stalling.... sad... another great game going to be ruined and abandoned because the creators got the cash for free and now they dont have motivation anymore...
Thats why i love pirating! most of developers dont deserve trust, first give the complete game THEN i will give u the cash.

Its obvious ever since Sierra left that production has massively dropped. Nomo might have the artistic side to him but there seems to be no one there putting stuff together and it gets even worse when they hire new staff midway in into the prologue. Yes I call it the prologue because it literally feels like the opening chapter of a book. We are introduced to a tribe, a bit of backstory and venture out once or twice but there's not more depth and we as the player have managed to achieve nothing in regards to impact outside the tribe and inside the tribe its very miniscule.

Dont see it getting abandoned any time soon. Getting ~10k for once a year update with at best half an hour of new content ? They will keep milking until the last drop

thats the exact definition of abandoning in this industry, u will see less and less until there is no update for 2-3 years and bam abandoned, this is not the first time this happened, sadly...

3 patches
I think 1 week between them at best is a good estimation
3 weeks from now is 1st of July
They aren't going to meet their self-declared timeline, again.

This game and others are very good examples why patreon should be dismantled or not used for porn industry, you see the results here and it by definiton promotes laziness.

People to fight something like this cancell all your patreon subscriptions and try to get others to do the same, this is the only way...short of kidnapping nomo and others...to make a difference and maybe to see KoD finished.

They have failed to do that already. They said they would release Ylva quest by early June but it is 11th/12th June (depending on where you live) and I don't see any signs of a release yet.
On the discord this morning Nomo said NDS would finish inserting the Patch 1: Ylva content into an update in "a few days". So i'd say that 1) I'm with Shakira, Hrienn is most certainly missing their "early" in the month deadline, and 2) Jinsoyun is absolutely right that coding seems like their critical bottleneck.

I'm not saying it's NDS' fault (...though NDS has admitted their computer is a potato that can't run RPGMaker's browser form) as the team's project management skills would make me suspect that this may be a workflow issue where the art and writing is dumped at the feet of coder, who then has to hustle to get it all together last minute. Full speculation on my part here on the root of issue, i bet the blame lies squarely in the middle of this team's triangle.

Should have an "abandoned" tag until patches are released in a timely manner.
I think if we invented some kind of tag for this kind of developers, like [Dev's slow as fuck] tag, it would help a lot. The games with some actual active developers will get more attention(which will also encourage slow devs to start working, since people won't look at the slow-dev games as much), and everyone will see which games are barely progressing and aren't worth getting your hopes high.

Like they care if some people on a pirate forum complain when they can milk coomers.

No game developer cares about F95 except maybe startup peeps looking for an audience. Why would they otherwise? They could put a scamming fucks tag on it here and they wouldn't care.

Patreon and subscribestar are the ones that would have to enforce this kind of thing and since they don't...

starting with f95 would be fine too,it would build momentum, you cant just force patreon and subscribestar,we need to take small steps and that is first f95,it would hurt their revenue all the same.

Unless a developers is releasing a demo to F95, most pirates of this site aren't coming here to pay the developers.

Subscribestar and Patreon should be able to punish developers who don't have any activity on their respective platforms. Even if its just shutting them down until they get their shit together. Of course they won't, because both platforms get a respective cut of money, and they want that easy cash as well.

Well, we can't tell anyone what they should care about or like. That's even one of the basis of this forum if i understand it correctly. People like different things and that's that. So if a developer doesn't like this forum, then that's up to them too. After all, it is true that a lot of us are unwilling or unable to give them financial support.

However i would argue that even if they don't like this place, it is a mistake to completely ignore it. After all, what is literally the oldest trick in the book of businesses?

Gather a crowd! Sure, not everyone from that crowd will buy from you, maybe only a few of them will, but it is still marketing. You never only advertise to your already existing costumers otherwise your business will have a hard time growing.

I always thought that this thread turned too hostile towards the devs way too early on. Just check how far back you'll already find posts along the lines of "3 months for an update??? lazy devs, dead game"... how times have changed. But at the same time i know it was better for us when the devs visited here and other forums too, not only drip feeding information on discord, and judging by their peak earning around $8k a month i would say that it was better for them too.

Also oshkoshdorosh mentioned that their coder apparently does not have a proper PC that could handle this job well. If that's true, then i might owe him an apology, but since there is no communication, i will never have a way to know if i just jumped the gun there. And i make a conscious effort to stay focused and constructive whenever i have the chance.

Honestly part of the early times hostility was because of people remembering the very consistent monthly update schedule when they did NN. They also generally were better about posting both public and supporter posts at those times. Hell, I was posting various "Give them a chance, they said they'd be doing less frequent updates when they started the project" things back in the day. My stance has completely changed since then.
