Its a wolf rpg engine game , so u need to extract and play the game with japanese locale.
Also make sure the folder path isnt long.
And third , if you are trying to play it on android sorry but you cant.

I don't think there was a manga. The game released 2018 and the anime aired 2020, so the game is probably the source material.

The game is 100% for sure the source material. The game itself is a spin-off of another game, Tales of Boinboin, where the protag of this one is a romanceable side character. Unlike here though, combat in that one is like a beat 'em up.
