Unity Completed Koikatsu Sunshine [BetterRepack R12] [Illusion]

Need help. I downloaded Koikatsu Sunshine from the beginning of this thread and cannot play a game; I can only access the Character Maker.

I Unzip it, run and load Updates, set my screen size, and Start....gets to the Splash page. I check my characters in Character Maker. All good. Stilettoed their high heels...good so far.

Go back to the splash page and select New Game...screen freezes (half hour, hour, 5 min, doesn't matter). Can't start a game. No old saves to to load. Try Event and start Free H. Select character, kinks, male character, and place. Start. Same thing...infinite frozen page. The window that opens with the game shows a bunch of red text at what appears to be the point the game freezes.

I tried several things including downloading a fresh download and running it immediately: same issue. It's like the game we download here and on the Better Repack site is broken. Tried running the KK HF patch for Sunshine but the tool doesn't recognize the folder. I literally moved it and the downloaded bin file in the game folder, outside the game folder, outside, outside the game folder, my desktop...nothing works. Can't patch Sunrise because the latest Sunrise KK HF patch does not appear to work with Sunshine.

I'm getting bored just dressing characters since I still can't play. I haven't found any videos or websites giving any help. Best advised was, Download the game, unzip it, and play. If only it were that easy.

Anyone have ANY idea why it is doing this? I'd like to play Sunshine, since I did everything in Party. That game just randomly breaks after a week so you can only access Character Maker. Reinstalling and HF Patching over and over and over (usually for a few days, sometimes randomly fixes Koikatsu Party, so I switched to Sunshine in hopes of a more stable gameplay, but gameplay doesn't work with Sunshine at all.

Please Help! I've created over 50 characters and 200 backgrounds and still can't play. Hehe.

Gonna make some vague sugestion, some you already most likely tried.

- game is for window, if you're on another OS thanks to tell for more answer (maybe)
- make sure you got at very least the official minimum configuration recommended.

So, as for solving the problem.
1) Make a clean install. Delete the game, the whole folder and the registry key for it.
2) reinstall the game in a folder without any foreign character or syntax, and with a short path name (avoid 15 sub folder to hide it from your mom. Just try to "C:\KKS" or something).
3) apply the HF patch or not, but just try starting the game and making a new game without any extra cards. Just use the default one
If it work => add your own card to the game folder and retry. Add your mods & retry... untill you encounter an error and can pinpoint the problem
If it don't work. As the game start, it's either a configuration problem (memory, CPU ?) or some corrupted data somewhere.
Try free H unlocked with the HF patch, does it work ? With your cards ?

But, if the game randomly break regulary, you're either to short on the configuration, or maybe some corrupted data on your HDD .... Did you run an integrity check on your HDD and memory ? Maybe also on your OS ?

You did mention something I didn't try, and it sounds like a good idea. The registry key for the game. Sounds like a REALLY good idea. Exactly where do I find the registry key for the game? I vaguely remember that registry keys are a thing. Hehe.

It's either under appdata or software somewhere.
Should be in a folder Illusion if not Koikatsu Shunshine.

Just delete it. If it's under Illusion, only delete the entry (sub folder) for koikatsu sunshine if there are other Illusion game in there (unless you don't care about theses games)

why would a card go to the old folder, but not get updated in the main female folder?

basically this card goes from the female folder to the old folder but disappears from the female folder, I'm used to seeing it in the female folder and old folder if they get updated.

I check kkmanager before launching the game and the card is present, then i launch the game it's not in the card list, i close the game and check kkmanager it's not on the list anymore, and ends up in the old folder.

Is there something i can do to update the card itself?

I saved the card as a new card in Koikatsu Party and it works now in KKS.

Bummer. regedit shows no Illusion or Koikatsu under Software, but I see EA, BioWare, Cyberlink and a bunch of other stuff I use. I'll keep working at it. Logically something will work eventually.

Your problem is strange, especially since I have an old computer with an i7 4770. The first time I run it, it usually takes a while to load, but after a while it starts up and works normally.

I use 7-Zip to extract the game and it has never given me those problems.

Regarding the HF, were you trying to add KKS HF 1.26 or were you mistakenly trying to patch it with KK/KKP v3.36?

I downloaded the game and have been enjoying it a lot for now. Is there a mod that includes more H positions? Or this repack already have them all?

Also, I just noticed there's a normal Koikatsu version (the one at the school), which one is better? I'm guessing this one as its older, but who knows.

Currently, the game implements many integrated poses from other mods.

You can add a new character invitation system and use its pose menu, which is a bit more convenient since you can filter them by stage.

Regarding the other Koikatsu game, the school version came out first. It has more mod support than Sunshine.

You can have relationships at school, which is the main setting, or in areas outside of school on dates.

There are other newer titles under different names, but those don't have the same level of mod support as the Koikatsu series or Honey Select.

According to the registry fixer it should be "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\illusion\KoikatsuSunshine\KoikatsuSunshine".

There is a save in the gamefiles that you have to put in the save folder is you want everything unlocked. is not placed by default for those that want to play the game as intended.

You can't just download part 1. You would still need all 12 parts.

I always use the torrent option with the Qbittorrent program and have had zero problems with the download.
