Cause man this is terrifying
Some cards require an additional component when transferred to the game: the card and the zipmod file that goes in the mods folder.
If you download the cards from BepisDB, they usually only upload the cards; not everyone adds the mod you need in the comments.

So do I need to take zipmod files from "sideloader modpack" into "modes" folder to make them work? Or they are working from the default path?

Several additional accessories for many cards, available online, are already included in the folder "sideloader Modpack". However, if you downloaded custom cards, many require specific .zipmod files that are added to the mods folder to function.
For example, the cards created by Evaan come with both the card and the .zipmod file.

Just to make sure. I DO NOT need to take files from sideloader modpack folder and put them into the modes folder. They are working from the default location, right? Cause even if I look for dependences in the kkmanager it says that I dont miss any mods, but ingame the models are broken and they dont have even a half of the accessories.

You don't need to extract them from the "sideloader modpack". Many cards are designed for the Koikatsu or Koikatsu Party versions, so when you add them to Koikatsu Sunshine and start the game, they're converted for this version, which can cause some to break.
You'll need a new card for that character and have to check if you're missing the required zipmod files, or you'll have to fix them yourself.

Ok I'll try to manage sth with mods, but the language problem is still remaining. I fixed the crush issue with initsettings, but even if I choose the English language in it and then launch the game, it still runs on Japanese

Try applying the HF patch, which is more up-to-date. I recommend making a copy of the userdata folder and the mods folder (only the zipmods within the same folder).

I'm writing this to help out anyone else whose searching, or had similar issues to the ones I had. I'm entirely new to this game and VR, but determined to get things working properly.

Both of these assume you have betterepack.
There are two main options for VR (my recommendation) and an unmaintained one called . They are obviously not compatible with each other.

KKS_VR seems to be maintained, and comes with an good control setup for the maingame. This is far more complete then the other one, and really what you should use.

KKS_VROON is the main game and studio converted to VR, with mouse controls using your VR controller. If you want something super simple this might be the option for you. All it requires is installing and then the control setup is just using your vr controller as a mouse. I haven't played around with it too much, but it seems to work OK for basics. There were several issues I encountered however. First, I got really low fps in the main game. I have a very beefy computer, so doubt it was tied to that but always a possibility my settings were messed up. Second, turning up the render resolution completely broke everything. Third, for the main game, I had to tab out to use the menu on my desktop, and then tab back into vr once the actual game loaded. For studio I had less issues, though I was unable to get POV to work.

KKS_VR is more modern, and generally a more comfortable experience. If you want a better control layout and more vr interaction, this would be what I recommend.

I still encountered a few operation issues , I encountered several issues that I was able to fix and documented below:

First, when loading into scenes, sometimes the entire screen would be covered in massive colored hue and/or be incredibly blurry. This is fixed by turning off any effects added as depth of field and color correction will usually completely break your vision. If anyone knows a way to force these effects off (for all scenes) or fix this natively, please let me know!

Next, I had issues with sometimes the cursor breaking/being unable to move my mouse/if I ever alt tabbed in virtual desktop, tabbing back into vr and making the main window active would mess everything up. This I fixed by downloading the old 2.1 version, and overwriting the files contained in CharStudio_Data.

The release notes mention that studio is not within 2.5 (even though it'll launch just kinda broken). 2.1 was the last version I saw with studio mentioned specifically, and overwriting the files seems to have fixed the issues I encountered.

The controls take a bit to get used to but end up working great once you get the hang of it.

Hopefully this helps if anyone has encountered similar issues.

As a bonus if you are planning to play Honey Come there is a VR plugin out for that as well . It requires using mouse and keyboard to control the game in VR (which honestly I would love the ability to do in koikatsu) but besides that worked great from my test run.
Hey man, several months behind you, but I'm gonna ask you since you seem to be one of the few souls using VR for this game and last time I asked about this (several years ago) I got zero response and a quick forum search shows that either no one has addressed it since or I am uber-mondo-super-stupid.

How. On this green Earth. Do you properly install the VR mode? If I just install the better repack, it SEEMS to only have the base game's VR mode, which would mean the very limited free-h mode. I tried following an old reddit post that said install game, then HF patch, then modding api, then the KKS_VR, but that seemed to have been a mistake as the HF patch (at least from what I read) is unnecessary or can install duplicates of things if you install it over repack. So I tried again just installing the repack and since it comes with bepinex etc I figured I would just install KKS_VR on top of that, but now forget freezing on the white load screen everytime I try to load into the game, now I can't even launch the damn main game. The closest I ever got to main game working in VR was the prior method I described and all that let me do was go through the prologue (which worked like a charm) and then I did all the booking, and as soon as I hit "Go Out" the game refuses to load. I may not be running the top of the top machines, but my rig is quite beefy and has no problem running most modern games, even poorly optimized ones like this. Please tell me there is just some stupid install order that I am executing improperly because it's annoying knowing that other people seem to do it right, and don't have the hardware to run it well, meanwhile I'm sitting over here with capable hardware and can't get it working to save my life.

Edit: I should point out that information regarding installing ANYTHING for this game much less VR is a nightmare because there's old and outdated information, the wikis/other forums share little to no information, half of the mod scene is hidden behind patreon paywalls and even the publicly available stuff is so horribly explained it makes me want to rip my hair out and the only reason I come back is because I like the base game and think it would be real neat in VR and given my exposure to just the prologue scene convinces me it's worth a shot.

If you dont like wasting time by creating your own custom characters, you can use custom characters created by different people.

This is a database for custom characters, that you can input into a Koikatsu Sunshine.

How to add a custom character into a game:

There are more sites, where you can find custom character files, that you can add into a game. But those sites usually offer char files for basic Koikatsu and they usually dont work correctly in Koikatsu Sunshine.
If you know what you are doing and you can fix missing mod files, then you can download from those sites.
