And needs pretty grunty hardware to be practical, which is why I think a separate GenAI mod thread would be appropriate. Only a minority of LR2 players would currently be able to use it, though the GPUs needed to run it get more affordable every month.

The release notes haven't been updated since July so I don't know what improvements I'm supposed to be looking forward to and am yet to spot any.
But I can confirm the previous version save files are now useless.
I can also confirm the energy system for sexual encounters is borked. You can keep fucking straight through orgasms without the benefit of Ashley's
I'd have thought that before releasing an update of a porn game it might be a good idea to test whether the fucking works properly. But what would I know?

At least without noting it's an essentially untested alpha version.
Sounds like a recipe for convincing newcomers to the game they'd come to the wrong place.
I don't mind alpha testing software I like, but I'd appreciate a heads-up that's what I'll be doing before I start doing it.
Some sort of arrangement whereby I know what sort of feedback is wanted (and will be listened to) would also be nice.
But distributing untested dev code to people who are currently running something reliable without making it clear to them - even calling it 'beta' when it's no such thing - is thought a bit inconsiderate where I come from.

There are always bugs, and it's very hard to find them if nobody plays in the sandbox. It may be the game, or the mods, or Renpy...

IIRC the sex shop owner will tell you that she got approached to buy it but tells you it's better if you're the one to get it. This will point you in the right direction, but I don't remember off the top of my head what the exact dependencies are: advancing her quest to a certain point, etc. If you're still stuck lmk and I'll dig through some of my save files to see if I can find when it triggered
