Which would include killing the person you copy from... not really a working solution in a porn game either.
I'd say there is no good solution in a real time world that would enable a satisfying explanation and is in acordence to the tiniest moral standard and law.
The Potions are powerfull but the way they work is atleast understandable and while fantasy not to far fetched to go into a fairy or robot universe.
1.We know there is such a think as genetic intelligence. That's intelligence passed on in genetic code.
So you could build that into a cloning process on a larger scale than what happens naturally.
2. Also you could use nanites to directly manipulate the brain and build the education into the person having mapped and copied it from the original. We can't do it now but it should be possible once technology reaches the state we can make medical nanites for repairing skin tissues and so on.
3. You could also create a serum that has a retrovirus that effectively acts as the genetic intelligence method.
The way that works is the virus targets specific cells in the brain causing them to form the connections it had. There is no reason the connections would be undone once they are made. The brain doesn't work that way.
4. Flash learning. You can actually get people to learn stuff fairly fast using various drugs and putting it on a screen for them to view. Currently not a good way to do it because well the drugs aren't good for you and you could stroke out. In part this works on the ability of the subconscious to perceive information at a fast rate. There are a number of other factors involved. Take for example your eye's see stuff to the edges more blurry than strait foreword. Well your forward site is designed more for studying. You reaction speed for objects coming at you strait on is slower than if it is from the side. Your peripheral vision appears to have a faster connection or reaction time. Couple those concepts with drugs that increase alertness and other shit and you get some insane method of programming a person. If you are wondering if this sounds like some crazy crap the US government came up with. Just think of a program that wanted to implant ideas in people's heads, rewrite memories,...
