My opinions on the subject spun around like crazy, but here are my current thoughts, subject to change (I will write them as a list to look like an important person):
- Dev needed to clarify it from the beginning. We wouldn't be having this conversation if there was a parody/remake keyword somewhere.
- Tons of stuff is stolen in this website, none of them tried to cover it up by deleting comments or claimed ownership with a boasting attitude about "having lot's of stories." The ones that doesn't clarify usually have content that is so obviously taken from somewhere else. Nobody thinks a dev with a real porn project fucked and recorded all those chicks himself, we are already aware, no need for clarification.
- Copying a well written story and still managing to fuck it up made every negative feeling about the subject 10x worse.
- People that are complaining are not talking about copyright infringement or legality of the situation. We are on a piracy forum. We are complaining about the morality of the situation. Piracy doesn't equate to lacking morality and doesn't strip us from the human decency.
- Story and CGs, value of them usually depends on the project but I believe a complete story rip-off felt more scummy because subconsciously it feels more like stealing the soul/personality of something vs. just the mere looks of it.
- Everyone makes mistakes, dev seems like a skilled mf that's about fix the problem and produce a banger in the future. No need to wish a lawsuit upon him.
