Perhaps, but if this is the case it even further stresses my point about a load/save option. To demand a "perfect" run with this many multiple options makes it an unrewarding grind.
I wouldn't make such a fuss if I didn't think this was an otherwise good game. Definitely the best character graphics and story from vdategames yet.

I think this one of his best games so far, so it's worth the wait

Simple cheat for the game is to edit _functions.js in the files/gamelrge/ folder, find the varPlus1 and varMinus1 functions and then change the 1 to a 2 on the "val += 1" and val -= 1" line in the function. Basically doubles all the relationship and facade gains on all the options that would normally increase/decrease the value by 1. Should make it easier to unlock all the good stuff.
studio22b.html bug is still there even with patch 1.2 it seems, and using the "cheat" above seems to trigger it each time.
Dirty fix for this is to edit studiocheck4.html and change studio22b.html to studio22.html. Will allow the game to progress, but I'm not sure what we're missing by bypassing studio22b.

Another option (longer): if you manually go back to a screen you've already been to then you can make choices again but you keep your score. I found this out during the gym part yesterday. I switched the numbers at the end of the URL to go back two screens and realized it didn't roll back my score.

It's probably a gender bug, when he started the game was supposed to have gender and ethinicity choices, maybe the game didn't get the variable at the beginning correctly. Just play on firefox, I played without a problem and it was the 1.0 version so you know. Will probably be fixed on the final version of the game whenever that is. So maybe if you have gone back some screens before this it may have fucked up the cookies or something.
I remember this happening on some of his old games. I woud start playing as a man, but if I cheated at the wrong page sometimes my character would turn into a girl or lose the name. I guess this is what is happening but without the girl path being implemented you're just getting a bug, although this type of stuff almost never happened on firefox for me.
PS: Don't take this as fact just some thoughts on what might be happening based on personal experience and on the code there is a variable for gender on the early parts. Also always play his games on firefox, always.

I never understand this games, is really tiring sometimes, because if you lose you need start all the game and take 300 decisions again, but then you will loose again in an avanced stage. You never know what choices are good, bad or don't matter, in the end you need play hundred of times to have a good ending or to have a sex scene.
I played through most of it, then failed a check or something.

I edited the functions.js + followed the walkthrough and ended up with the "you're a big fat loser" ending several times...
I really hate html games :angry: I choose golf and end up jogging, I choose yoga and end up playing basketball, WTF???

hmm... i followed this and did every single facade spot you have on here, yet can't hit 69 by dinner. am i missing something here?

I altered the functions following this guide. Got the perfect endings with no trouble. You should focus on decreasing the Facade stat where you can, there are only a couple of hidden clicks to find.
