i'm about halfway through the game (just started ch 5)
As someone who has suffered with long term depression, Cece's character both articulates and expresses the helplessness that you feel in that situation, as well as the variance, one minute you're fine, the next you don't. Some days your head lets you relax and enjoy, others is pure hell. The scene where Cece explains how MC saved her life to Steph had me tearing up
But then the game has its own humour that both catches me off guard and has me belly laughing.
While the story is incredibly reliant on convenient meetings, and the overall story plot isn't anything mindblowing, the dialogue and interactions between the characters is both moving and engaging.
One thing i appreciate is all the models fit the world and seem like they fit in. Other AVN's suffer from "dream" girls with perfect bodies and supermodel faces, the models seem "realistic" and have flaws.
I also enjoy the game basically implementing a scrappy's mod style walkthrough in the game by default, and the behind the scenes extra renders are really endearing and transparent by the developer

I wish I would had been here at the Time I played LoF and got some advice.
I wasn't in a particularly unstable or sad Mental State, but after watching this Part/Scene, I had to pause playing the Game for over a Month - It really hit me harder then I thought a Game, and specifically that Scene, could ever do.
There are still moments up until now where I can't even open the Game and just hear the Into Song without tearing up.
Drifty did an amazing Job with this AVN to make us feel all the Feelings there are, sadness, happiness, hope, love and everything else there is. I'll be forever thankful for this and LoF will be my Nr.1 AVN for a long time, thanks Drifty!

Just finished the game. Storytelling wise it was a 10/10. It made a good job in delivering the intended emotions. Still, it was very streamlined in terms of the girls you choose. After locking in one path you only have the choice to follow it. Is this realistic? Yes. Does this make fun? Not so much.
I will play it again some time and go for the Cece route because i think its the "intended" girl to choose.

Who was your first route - and Drifty has said there is no “cannon” route
I really like u4ia. Very different than leap, but he again hits a home run on characters and story

I just wanted a good fap VN like "Good Girl Gone Bad" or smt like that, why am I out here skipping the sexy scenes to keep reading the story and crying? I loved the game and Im happy with the ending I got but I dont wanna play it again in the near future. 10/10 game for me

I genuinely appreciate the concern, but I've (mostly) worked through my problems, bad days happen, bad feelings happen, sometimes life gets too much but I'm not in a place where suicide is a static thought in my head, I spent 2.5 years of my life wanting to end it, every single day, thankfully I'm no longer in that place, and I'm able to cope with feelings mostly
When it comes to media, i'm an overly emotional person, a sad song can make me cry, if i watch a sad film, I cry. I'm the antethesis to the men don't cry at titanic meme, cause i bawled my eyes out like a baby.
The scene/chapter was tough, I bawled my eyes out, but that's cause I've grown fond of the character of Cece and I can empathise with her, but that's a testament to the writing. If Cece didn't make it through and you go on this journey with her, and she's gone, it would've been tough, but the fact she comes back, makes a full recovery, and in my case ended up pregnant, made it a lot easier and nicer to reflect on.
I don't plan to replay the game, its very heavy and while I would enjoy to see other paths it's not something I want to put myself through, so if someone can answer a few questions, that'd be appreciated.
1) What was the thing about Linda being famous? I'm guessing she becomes whats essentially an Onlyfans model? What was the scene where she says "that's one way to make a quick buck" and has a breakdown in the shower, cause I thought that was prostitution.
2) When you first sleep with Cece in Lexi's garden, it seems as if there is a Military figure watching, I'm guessing this relates to Steph's path, if you get back with her, does that end up playing a facture
3) What's the deal with the guy who sits next to you on the bench, he is escorted into the back of a van. I'm guessing he's your grandfather maybe?

Ive played it many times - my wife even played it one time and i even cried when she played the game. Shes not a big fan of these but wanted to see what I saw in these.

Yeah had a lot of sympathy for Steph, i couldn't find myself being mad at her in my playthrough
Had the Lexi Route.
Like i said, its a great VN. The adult part is where it is a bit lacking. Not your typical AVN Fapgame where the sex is more important than the story. You could cut out all the detailed sex scenes and it would still be a good VN. If you wanna proof, that the genre is not only about fucking then this is the game. Similar to Depraved Awakening, City of broken Dreamers and Acting Lessons.

Being A Dik applies to this to for me too, the sex scenes are good, but for me my memories of that game are the relationships you build with the characters, or the little intimate details like a character unexpectedly spooning you or normally slipping up telling you that they love you
