She also notices small details when it comes to him, e.g. that he moved his mom's picture or that he's been working all night or what eye color his mom had (meanwhile AFAWK John couldn't tell that something was bothering Jamie during their trip to her parents, even after she slipped up and told that she will miss west coast weather). We also know her inner thoughts and she ALWAYS made John's interest her priority even if it went against HER interest, e.g. when she convinced Luis to allow John to work on the case knowing perfectly well that it would bring him and his ex-girlfriend closer together ("I'm going to regret this but this is what he wants").

And seriously, if John can't take a hint after Jamie saying stuff like "Oh, I'd take you" and you're still calling Jamie self-entitled/horrible then I really don't know what to say. Not to mention that with her credentials and connections she could have gotten job anywhere (and much better than county prosecutor) but she chose to be close to John and he's too stupid to realise that (at least he realised that he was cockblocked by her at the bar but he still couldn't draw the right conclusion from that and explained it as her being drunk and even when Sean explained to him what was happening and how it really looked like from the side he still didn't believe).

Also, it's funny how one sided you are. John is basically a no-life, workaholic with daddy issues so WTF should Jamie abandon her dreams and career when it's John who has nothing to lose (he could be a prosecutor where she's going and his life wouldn't change much)? Although I'm pretty sure that Jamie would drop everything for him if he would tell her he loves her (and not like a sister, then again maybe like a sister if we take into account latest plot-twist). Last but not least, she did tell him about her plans when the time was right (she didn't want to ruin their trip so she waited until they were going back) and stopped John from kissing her even though she wanted it more than anything. But she wanted to be honest with him and didn't want to hurt him in the process or use him. Her crying shows how hard this decision must have been for her. And as Trevor said - this is unrequited love, even when we're choosing dialogue options focused on Jamie we're far away from romantic love at this point. Jamie telling him about her decision will be a turning point and we as players will decide whether Jamie will stay in game as one of the LIs or not. After all you don't think that the author would focus all this time on Jamie just for her to fly away, do you? Unless we wouldn't care about her of course, then her decision will be the only course of action she should take.

What is most ironic though is that the only self-centered person here is you. Not John, not Jamie but you. You have a notion that Jamie must suck John's dick because he's the only important person here. Jamie's wants, feelings or dreams are irrelevant and any course of action where John isn't worshipped makes her disgusting. WTF man?

They've financed a nobody, they let a bum-child spend time with their children and Jamie and Trevor have supported him for years without expecting nothing from him. And sorry but Trevor does make a good point - it's 2025 and you can easily keep in touch with one another and with fast travel you could fly from west coast to east coast easily. As things stand now not much would change if Jamie wasn't there unless you're suggesting that she needs to be available 24/7, holidays included whenever John will have a fever or want to cry on Jamie's shoulder while at the same time he would treat her like a friend at best.

Exactly this! i just couldn't be asked to be honest. Big ups for the one who took it upon himself.

Even though i myself shitted on Jamie, my reasons was mainly because she's living in her own fantasy world of being with the MC who obviously couldn't give more of a fuck about her romantically. And that kind of hope and scenes being played is just exhausting to play/read through.

On a different note i have to replay this again because i honestly have no clue what Jamie's purpose is in MC's life besides being his best friends little sister.

I actually kind of hope that Jamie leaves for her new job and that she "ACTUALLY" leaves and not magically decides to stay. then we could have her come back in later chapters.

Cause seriously, she needs to find herself and get out of MC's shadow and be her own woman. And stop masturbating with the teddy MC got for her... Girl you're like 25. Live life, have fun and get some friends.

See, I've just finally played the infamous Jamie scene myself (it was unavailable to me before because my old run ended up being a Detached one) and… I'm not actually angry at anyone involved. Just a series of bad luck, from the job offer, to the father's aide being faster on her feet around John, to John being too good at self-control and switching to a supporting friend in several seconds. Shit happens, people drift apart because of miniscule things. I'm not even disappointed, though I am kinda sad and annoyed, but just a bit.
Malena is still my biggest disappointment of Ch. 4 rather than Jamie. Going to the same gym as your BFF's rapist is just beyond my understanding of normal.
Emmeline is certainly Ch. 4's MVP though. I'm now even more happy that, even on Jamie's path, she can stay in John's life on sister rights.
Edit: also, framing the Reveal by first Colleen disappearing into the light and then Em 'going dark' is nice artistic touch.

Hey everybody.

91 new renders for the week. Still can't share previews of what I'm working on, but I'm nearly done done with it. If I'm a righteous man and my cause is just then God will help me finish today. This has been a major scene both in size and importance to Emmeline's storyline, and I've really struggled to get it correct, but I'm happy with how it's come together. Once I'm done with it I can move back to working on scenes that are applicable to the more universal plot. I'm still planning to finish the entire episode just for Emmeline's path, and then to go back and work on the other branched storylines. Doing it this way is just helping me stay in a storytelling mindset as I write each scene. There are a couple of things that are being moved around a bit between Episodes Five and Six and I'm kind of feeling it out at the moment, so I'm not sure how much longer I'll be working on Emmeline's branch, but I am making good progress.

So it sounds like they worked it out pretty quick after big reveal and sister thing not a big deal, instead of taking a step back and giving ample content to Jamie, who actually needs something.

I just question why Jamie is a main girl at this point, when it feels like she doesn't get equal screentime compared to others in my opinion and just constantly gets shafted on scenes and content. Just feels like a side girl. Just wish fev treated her equally to others and gave her equal devlopment and screentime. Sadge.

idk even if she never got a scene I wouldn't see her a side character but more something in the middle cause she is around enough to try to support the MC for the better and keep his work habitats in check. While to me a side character usually has less screen time that that tho it does depend on the game cause yeah some side girls can be passable as romance relationships. But more talking about your average side girl since romantic ones aren't common.

I agree with everything about Jamie but think you judged John too harsh.

Imo he's aware that Jamie is into him since like forever and is more like deluding himself into not thinking too much into it.

The reason he sleeps with other women but never with jamie and they didnt even kissed, is not him being really oblivious to her affection imo. Jamie is special to him and he did put her on a pedestal in his mind (she does this too the other way around but slightly different).

Imo the reasons that there was never any intimacy is that John a) doesnt consider himself "worthy" and b) feels too fucked up to "pull jamie down" due to a relationship with him. He considers Jamie special and feels like he lacks the abilitys to give her the life she deserves, its different with other LI's/Women as he didnt knew them since forever.

And i think Jamie is - at least partially - very aware of all these things, she is very understanding and would never want to push him, she would not want to put the burden on him of "forcing him" to make it work.

They respect each other too much to simply "give it a try" (and possibly fail) is my perception of the whole thing.

And in the not-kiss scene its still not jamie saying that they cant be together or that she doesnt want to kiss him. She wanted him to be aware of the circumstances before a possible kiss which is just awesome from jamie imo, she wanted nothing more than that kiss but still put it on hold to not lead John astray.

John could have possibly still kissed her afterwards and for example tried to make it work anyway. He's wealthy and shes uberrich, they surely can travel around.
