VN Ren'Py Leaving DNA [Ep. 4.3a] [Impious Monk]

Hey friends.

Thanks to an American holiday and working on an easy-to-pose conversational scene I burned through 193 new renders this week, bringing the total for Episode Five to just under 1850. I am now basically finished with the content exclusive to Emmeline's path.

I have one more scene to do which is common to all paths, and it is a major event--the last component to set up the story's final act. I've been looking forward to seeing this scene come to life for a very long time, and I'm excited it will no longer exist only in my head.

After I finish that scene I'll go to work on the exclusive content for Jamie, Aghavni, and Malena, and then finally turn to the detached path. I've also mentioned before that I may want to do some in-depth work on Episode Six before releasing Episode Five, just to make sure I've got all of the groundwork laid correctly. In addition, the animations are most likely going to still be getting posed well after I've finished the still renders. So just be warned there is still quite a lot left to do, but I'm currently fighting like hell to get through it all.

I had not opened this one since finishing the last update in February but was in a mood for it and impatient for the next patch so started a replay yesterday.

This is a top-tier game for story-telling and invoking emotions. So good!

While I wish for more, more, now -- I hope Impious Monk takes all the time he needs to tell the rest of this story well. It will be worth the wait.

Just read the interview in the magazine. Dude, I for one did not hate that twist. It was shocking, and while I liked Emmaline, I thought it was a deserved payoff to the plot. The emotional jolt was extremely effective, and didn't seem out of place in the story as a whole. I was bummed about the impacts to the relationships with both other affected parties, but found family is as important to me as blood family, so while I effectively lost an LI, I gained an extra sister. Don't get discouraged by a vocal tirade, it was good writing, and moved the story forward.

I had another solidly productive week, creating 123 new renders. All of my scenes this week went back to locations I had already set up and rendered before, so that really cuts down on the prep time and helps me focus only on posing.

Well considering Emmeline Path is still a thing, and that 'Path' imply romance, its obvious either this story is going to have an incest path or the whole plot twist about her is false.

Hello friends.

This week I created 144 new renders, another very solid week. This coming week's render total will be much lower as I have to write a significant amount of new dialogue.

I have started Jamie's path, which first requires going back to the beginning of the episode to work on content which is general to all three non-Emmeline LI's. Obviously, since Episode Four ended with you and Emmeline getting the DNA results, Episode Five will begin much differently depending on whether or not you are in a romantic episode with Emmeline. And as you can imagine, the reveal has a significant impact on Rockford even if he's not in a relationship with Emmeline and that impact has to be addressed. Fortunately I had already started work on this more general path but there is still quite a bit of work to do. So it may yet be a couple of weeks before I can actually get to work on any new scenes that are unique to Jamie's route.

Except now I need to run it back and make a Malena primary LI save file. I can't continue on with my Elly PT now that I know about the link to Robert. Im really interested to see where the story goes in Episode 5. From my understanding we are only getting up to E5 as single updates but 6-8 are all being dropped at the same time.

Hello, after playing for a while, Leaving DNA seems like the series "Law & Order" to me. Sorry to be so direct, but is there any sex in it?I mean, the main topic here is the topic of sex in the games. It's interesting that there are games like Leaving DNA or Hillside that take a completely different approach.I like it when games have good backstories. But what was done here is too much for me. Ultimately, I enjoy the eroticism in games, and unfortunately, there's far too little of that here.

well this one admittedly in not a porn game, but a visual novel with some adult elements. Yes there are multiple sex scenes in it, you probably haven't gotten far enough yet. There is one or more scenes with each LI except Jamie. If you don't enjoy a good story without plenty of sex scenes, then I guess it's not for you.
