All these dang porn games messing with my mind, got me thinking that Sean and Donna were going to propose a threesome. Then they sit down and talk to you and I'm like, "Oh, well this is nice and different. A nice normal thing is happening." lol. Thank you for that.
Any ways, great update. Feels like you're playing a crime drama TV show, and I love it. Always love those mysteries and such. Though I'm still struggling between Aghavni and Jamie. Both of them are just great. I like the Dreams idea though, and hope it works out well. Looking forward to see what kind of Dreams you guys come up with. The Renders section confuses me a bit though. Are they unlockable images or something? I got one for Jamie, but nothing for Aghavni, and no idea how I would get it. Guessing different choices unlock certain images?

Yeeeeeees. I have been waiting for this since I saw and tried the demo, seeing this update made me so happy. While I do enjoy simple fuck fest games from time to time, I do really love immersing in a really good written story and working on a buildup, the payoff is always better this way personally, and I really love the characters and the story of this game a lot.
The two main love interest are both gorgeous, well all the characters look good honestly, and I'm really excited with seeing how the story progresses with each of them as well as seeing if anyone else falls into the mix, as well as just being glad we don't get random sex scenes like the couch scene where most would spring a random threesome or cheating wife scene in there. As for the story around the murder, I am a true crime 4 am watcher, when I can't sleep and need something to pass time on, so I am all for this., and it has been written beautifully, taking its time and pacing just right, with a nice cliffhanger's that haven't made me want to pull my hair out.
I look forward to the next update and seeing how the MC and his father are connected to this case, what you have in store for the love interest, and overall just excited to see more great work you have planned, keep up the amazing job!

Awesome! Yeah, for whatever reason Aghavni and Jaime just don't appeal to me. Not into particularly "overbreasted" women, which is a mark against both of them, and also don't much care for the whole "secretly pining for him for years" trope which knocks Jaimie clean out. But that's just me. I did like what little we saw and learned of the little blonde schoolteacher, and I do tend to like me some Latinos, so I think the next update will sell me on at least one of those two.

Honestly I get tired of download games and cranking them up, only to find myself locked in a college fantasy of oversexed virgins and overdeveloped landlords (or rather landlady's) who have for some reason decided that they need to have sex. With me. Right now. Because I'm apparently the ONLY male in a strange fictional universe.
Leaving DNA is much more like one of those CSI crime shows on TV, with real characters that have different personalities. For once I actually find myself getting engrossed in a game instead of just clicking to get to the end of it.
Well done.
Leaving DNA is well executed. Good renders. With a real story and believable characters. And a murder mystery.
A well written, well executed VN that will grab your interest.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm actually looking forward to the next update.

We are all looking for the action, just pointing out the good old days MC actually had
a GF and he actually did go out with friends, rather than burry himself in work and hide
under the pile of documents he keeps overworking himself over.
Making MC able to whitstand adversity but choosing not to confront it head on,
just rather drag his feet under the pressure of his ”public service office” is worrysome.

Personally I like it. It certainly adds depth and realism to the the game.
Though I realize that it may not be everyone's cup of tea.
The Dev certainly did his homework before creating the game.
This was far, far more fantastic than I thought it would be. Shaping up to be up in the best of VN's I've played. I'm one of those weirdos that's not a fan of the weird (to me) harem, oversexed stuff, and this really hitting the spot of narrative+character for me. Well, and Jamie is just adorable.
However, I believe there must be a fifth path: The Armin Path. I seriously have not laughed as hard at a VN on this site.

Really liking this game but I feel like Jamie is really the only viable options. I mean besides the fact that she is being pushed at us ALL THE TIME there's the fact she isn't an ex so she doesn't know how shit the MC is at relationships... yet.
The getting stabbed, but not really, thing seemed pointless, also depending on the city/state don't they have a requirement to report a crime as "officers of the court" so not sure about that whole sequence. Perhaps it will come back up later?

Not sure about a rule that says lawyers have to report being a victim of a crime--I don't think that's the rule in California, but someone is welcome to show me otherwise. They did report the crime anyway, though, when they went to the hospital. And Rockford's telling Sean to let the blonde woman leave shows us a juxtaposition between those two characters. We might expect a stereotypical public defender to be the more sympathetic one and not as eager to get the criminals punished, and we might expect the criminal prosecutor to be insistent about calling the police and getting justice. Instead, both characters play against their stereotypes. This also suggests something else about Rockford which he will voice more clearly later in the story: he strongly believes that the choice to report being a victim of sexual assault is a very personal one, and he won't pressure the blonde woman to make a formal report if she doesn't want to.
I do think the stabbing serves several functions. First, the mere presence of the knife ratchets up the tension of the scene.
Second, his getting stabbed tells us a lot about Rockford. In contrast with the Superman figure some players might think they are playing, Rockford is terrified when he sees the knife. But on the other hand, when he does get stabbed, his response is anger. Both of these contrast with the cool, calm, collected protagonist we see in many other (excellent) stories who can easily disarm the knife wielder and beat the shit out of the other four guys attacking him. And simply the fact that he does get stabbed drives this point home; he is human and he can be hurt. He's even still complaining about being in pain the next morning.
His actions after the fight ends tell us even more about him. Even though he's just been stabbed, apparently his concern is for the woman, as he tells Sean to check on her instead. Then, after she's gone, he doesn't want to go to the hospital; he'd rather stitch the wound up himself, something he's apparently done before. This suggests he may be a very independent person, used to solving his own problems, especially given what we've already learned about him by that point in the story..
Third, as a narrative tool for that scene, the stabbing provides a transition from 'Rockford is holding his own' to 'Rockford is clearly overwhelmed.' Once Rockford is clearly defeated, the gang leader steps in to stop things before they escalate further. His gang has established their dominance over these two cops, but he also knows it's one thing for them to have a scuffle, and quite another to murder a police officer. So Rockford is fighting back, he gets stabbed, he is subsequently overwhelmed, and now the gang leader ends the fight before Rockford is killed.
Fourth, and this is not obvious at all due to my poor choreographing skill, Rockford's quick response to getting stabbed is an example of his speed. If you've ever seen a video of someone using a knife to stab someone, they do it fast, and not once, but repeatedly. Rockford is quick enough that once he's stabbed the first time, he's able to grab the assailant's hand before he can get a second shot in.
Finally, the stabbing will be relevant later on in the story.

I couldn't find any assets that were just the holster, so I just used this police belt and erased everything except the holster.
