Chapter 4 isn't that long if you only do that chapter and on 1 route.

For me it took another 6 hours or so for all routes that we currently know of, because I wanted to play the entire game again (because I forgot most of the plot).

It took me ~1:10h -1:20h just for one route from the update. And ~20-30min for the additional route, since I was forwarding some parts. One route of the whole game from the beginning took 3h+.

I got all but 3 achievements I started over and played for 11 hours the real messed up thing is took all romantic possibilities except your half sister or a ugly fat cop or maybe really disturbed gun nut oh yeah forgot the severely handy capped witch I think should be grape anyway you play it

I totally disagree with you, but they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I really hope we will have a route where we can continue having a romantic relationship with Emmeline, but considering it's against the law in California and Rockfort is a man of principles (unless you're going the "being a dick to everyone" route imo), i unfortunately doubt it.

Fortunately a senator cannot just change laws on his own, and I wonder if daddy Carrington has enough power to change all laws, even the incest law.

Normally I'd agree, but with VN logic, I honestly have no idea. It's like you said though, with it being illegal, I don't see Rockford bending on it without an attempt to change the law, that would play into the political backdrop. Since this is the halfway point of the story (at best) I can't see Emmeline being written off as a LI. Daddy Carrington is set up as a major player so I wouldn't be surprised if he can grease the right palms to make changes.

I understand the challenge to Jamie's friendship. Might push Jamie away permanently to stay at Harvard teaching. It's too soon to tell and IM has a lot of ways this can be spun. It's gonna be a long wait for ep 5.

If you mean just one route, then yes. But I play great games like this by playing at least a few routes. For example, in this update I played Em, Malena, and Jamie's routes. I plan to play Aghavni route (for the sake of the completeness) and Rockford, the Titan of Solitude, as well.

I must say the scenes in ep.4 were fire. The animations looked so good they sometimes felt like mocap.

The Aghavni route is worth it, not least because Rockford addresses his thoughts on hypothetical sibling incest specifically on that route.

I like the chicken and egg reference.

The idealist in me says there's no way Rockford gets elected once people investigate his background. However, modern politics has taught me that anything goes.

How much do I have to throw at IM for a hidden ending where Rockford and Vega end up back together after he crashes and burns with all the main LIs? It's completely unrealistic given Vega's reasons for hating him but still.
