So basically the OG LoK Rebirth was 0.8 and that was killed, now they are working on this new version and it's taking forever? Did this project die too?
Yeah I'd like to know that status of this "new version," I know they have a patreon but I don't know if its still active

It's active, but it took them a couple of years to actually figure out what to do.

Yeah, this game was kind of amazing. Moving around it was kind of slow, and it definitely needed tweaks to make it less of a chore to play, but the art was amazing. Krystal never looked better, and her jiggle physics were pretty damn sexy. I haven't played the new version at all, but from what I've seen, everything is so toned down and generic. Krystal isn't busty and bouncy, etc.
It sucks, because this version of the game is something I would have definitely payed for; it looked so damn good, too good, for an Adult game. I know they had to switch to a new game due to a it being easier to program or something (which feels false, consider how little the new game seems to have advanced), but the quality feels severely downgraded.

At some point, after Pizza Hot´s completion maybe, you might consider continueing old Lok 0.9 together with Naikal - my guess is that most patreons gonna switch over then, as soon as they realize there is a more promising Krystal project.

for me, they have not yet reached this version, I doubt that they can.
You sure about that? I can at least imagine 3-4 very vocal people, who probably wont forget that ^^

This indeed look way better, even from the start. It also seem to run more stable as well and still having way more content. Sadly it seem to be far from ever finishing as there were so many character that wasn't yet fully involved. I'm also not a fan of the minigame on the current LOKR as it was too tedious. Progress would have been faster on this if it were continued as almost everything was already laid down well. It just need a bit of polishing and adding more contents. It was pointless to remake it when it isn't any better and just basically resetting everything from the start, unless they are able to speed up the process and maintain good quality for every update. They probably gonna spend so much time adding all those game mechanics and tons of bug fixing. I doubt actual events for more content would be added quicker with all that other things that they're tryna added. Let be honest, I don't think most of the fans even want those additional game mechanics as they play it to fap, appreciate the art and expect to see more kinky events. And the gameplay mechanics they are planning to implement seem to be just gonna be mediocre at best. The only thing right now that felt like it was a good idea was tryna add more places. cities, or rather races to further go deeper lore wise.

From a pure financial and strategical perspective it would be smart to retake LoK 0.9 in a few years.
You then have with Pizza Hot/Cold a perfect reference and an already solid base of supporters.
The current LoK project will most likely be crumbled apart and disappoint expectations.
When you eventually anounce LoK as follow up project to Pizza Hot, you should get a tsunami of (new) supporters.
Also, in a few years, you probably won´t have so much trouble getting back into this difficult episode of your life anymore.
We´ll see ... anyway i´m glad you didn´t completely throw away making porn games after the unpleasant collapse of LoK 0.9...

man i keep coming back here and thinking "such a shame this game got abandoned" it was genuinely a really good game.
I'm still waiting for something from the new version. But so far I would rather wipe my ass with my money than give it to a few arrogant people who have not even been able to recognize their mistakes.
I regret the most, that i tried to a be as positive as you can be from our position out, while still calling what i dont like, and getting labelled a troll. especially when i had that picture for over a year, and the signature... well with what i saw on this page, im still thinking its a joke.
The money that was drowned with the reboot didnt hurt me, i saw it as a lesson with a price tag. Donators influence goes as far as a dev is willing to do himself, just like Telltales "Walking dead" games - in the end its an illusion.
And The Last of Us Part 2 still beats the reboot ^^ And its no trolling if its a) genuine believe and b) true
