Found a game on itch.io again. It doesn't have a happy ending, at least not a traditional one, but it was something I was feeling in the mood for. It also has no sexual content, aside from kissing and the one mention of some people grouping her. Just try it out its good.

isn't out for another like 2 weeks and probably won't have explicitly sexual content (especially since one of the love interests is asexual- love the bambi rep <3) but that early demo is real promising! Tight UI/gameplay, plenty of player input, and quality art style.Anyone got any other good lite dating sim type games- preferably something that's not complete bubblegum? I feel like with how popular those visual novel apps like Episodes are there's gotta be more like Coral Cove out there, just probably not on this site.

That one's been alright but a real pain without the guide. It's one of those where if you want to be involved with half the love interests you can't just go directly to them, you have to randomly start interactions with an entirely different love interest then split off halfway through. And also if you pick 1 wrong dialogue option the entire route closes off forever.
Seriously people; Clarity in game design. It matters!

is it possible to play a lesbian route in that game, all I see in their thread are people complaining about how the women's routes are practically pushed aside and nonexistent.
Yes, but the game is getting a rushed ending and the last update had nothing for the lesbian paths. I wouldn’t really recommend starting it until it wraps up and we see how things end. Based on previous updates I wouldn’t honestly expect much.
Heck yeah, I'm down for any game that self describes as Sapphic. Even if the name is a little goofy...

you can choose your gender at the start, your sexual preference (men/women/both), your first worshipper (two shrine maidens and a priest to choose from) and the sex scenes have non-strap-on options (sex itself is text-based, usally with a nude npc sprite for the only visual reference).
but i've only played it for a few hours so i can't say for certain it qualifies.
content qualms:
- some dialog mentions of you as a "god" or "master" or "lord" or "liege" or "milord" or iirc even "he" (bugs related to the initial release when the female protagonist option wasn't available yet); i haven't seen any genital mixups, at least
- it's possible to witness heterosexual (text-only) content between minor npcs in quests; the quest about the mayor and the tree, which seems necessary to progress, leads to an option to investigate it further, which reveals the mayor is a sex trafficker, and you catch him in the act of raping an unnamed female tied npc; there's a text description of seeing the rape as you enter the room and hearing some of mayor's rapetalk before you get to stop him. on the protagonist end, i haven't been forced to participate in anything heterosexual so far, even on combat loss.
gameplay qualms:
- grindy; initial quests require grinding random encounters to level up first and buy better equipment (i beat them with lvl7 and the 700g sword from the smith); random encounters in the two starting zones are very easy but quest opponents are boss-tier, with comparable difficulty in the third zone (on the plus side, it seems you can't lose the game; losing a fight leaves you with 1hp, with a few monster girls it ended with them also having sex with you, and one quest lets you go back in time to before you started the event with the fight)
- navigation, talking, sex is mostly through many multiple choice menus; choice menus are clunky in rpgmaker and easy to misclick
- bugs aplenty
