I've never seen loading screens in a ren'py game before. And there's so many of them here and they last 5+ seconds. The heck is up with that?

Well ... now I've played it. I enjoyed the animations. It's a bit of a mess otherwise.I haven't even finished downloading it, and I want more of it!
Thus, it is equally about interracial sex, sticking-it to the snobs, and wanting to be appreciated for who you are. These days, of course, that plot is generally reduced to a five minute footnote followed by 45 minutes of sex, or "Lara Croft will do anything for an artifact."In a scientific field ruled by men, Jane must constantly fight against intellectual male elitists who ignore her intelligence and look down on her for being a beautiful woman. While trying to make a breakthrough in a remote village in Africa, she willingly gives herself to a group of simple tribesmen who value her intelligence and beauty.

Pretty much this.Given the nature of the situation, I think I would have preferred to simply have the story take us to both locations, one after the other (with more variation within the text). We end up collecting either a flower or a mushroom as an ingredient for a potion. Why not just say the potion requires both? That way, you could escalate her sexual journey a bit more gradually.
Within each of those paths is a choice of husband's view or wife's view. The NTR in the husband's view is rather brief and underdeveloped. I doubt diehard NTR fans would really be satisfied with it. Again, if we did both scenes, there would at least have been an opportunity for progression in his path.
I personally enjoy how little fucks she actually gives, don't think this game should necessarilly play down the "oh, she got corrupted!" or "it was to save her life!" narrative. However even then, the way she has so little moral conflict is touched upon pretty meh, games writing needs touching on no matter what trope it wants to play as.Well ... now I've played it. Spoilers coming.
There are very few choices. They are the "which sex scene would you prefer" type--no dialogue or plot relevant decisions. The "main" choice leads to one of two similar scenes with different animations, and otherwise uses virtually identical text to get there. Given the nature of the situation, I think I would have preferred to simply have the story take us to both locations, one after the other (with more variation within the text). Overall, the inclusion of the husband is almost completely superfluous, and he's just kind of annoying. He's the "gets ignored easily, because he's just a wet blanket" type of cuck. He's loyal enough to ultimately do whatever the wife asks of him, but not supportive enough to stop complaining about everything every step of the way. Meanwhile, he's constantly suspicious and concerned about all kinds of things, but never concerned enough to actually do anything about it. I'm not strongly for or against NTR, but it just seems like an unnecessary part of this story in this case.
The kids being included is equally forgotten. The wife seems so obsessed with her career, that she doesn't really seem to care much about her family in the first place. When we get to her cheating, she doesn't really take any time for "morally wrestling" with her decision. She is never put in a situation where she is knowingly choosing sex as a way of furthering her goals at the cost of her family. In the first scene (on either path) she's basically just giving in to lust, because she wants to. In the later scene, she's lost, trapped, and surrounded in a confusing situation. She's not resistant or hesitant, but she wouldn't really have any choice even if she were. Point being: the fact that she has kids is never brought up again, so why mention them in the first place?
A brief history of porn:
Many of you probably already realize this, but maybe some of you younger folks don't. This is not "an off-brand Lara Croft."
The porn trope of a blond-haired blue-eyed white female anthropologist/archaeologist getting gangbanged in Africa goes all the way back to this crazy time in the 70's when porn movies had plots, and the sex did not take up 95% of the runtime (it's probably older than that, really). It would have been something like this:
Thus, it is equally about interracial sex, sticking-it to the snobs, and wanting to be appreciated for who you are. These days, of course, that plot is generally reduced to a five minute footnote followed by 45 minutes of sex, or "Lara Croft will do anything for an artifact."
A game like this could have taken the time to explore all of that, but it instead focuses on setting up an NTR concept that never really seems to be used well.
I only mean she was trapped in the sense of having fallen down a slide/trap inside a ruin/temple situation. Like, she didn't really know where she was or how to get out at the moment.I personally enjoy how little fucks she actually gives, don't think this game should necessarilly play down the "oh, she got corrupted!" or "it was to save her life!" narrative. As for 2nd sex scene you mean the gangbang? Cus it hardly felt like she was trapped, honestly fuckbuddy hasnt been shown as the type whod do her bad if she refused, both sex scenes just are her succumbing to lust imo and then blaming it on "its for my goals!" afterward and like 2 lines of moral dilemma being resolved essentially as "I feel a bit of guilt... but oh well, just gotta keep it secret".
Oh, thats 3rd scene tho. And at least in what I downloaded it doesnt play, game ends there.I only mean she was trapped in the sense of having fallen down a slide/trap inside a ruin/temple situation. Like, she didn't really know where she was or how to get out at the moment.
No, I think you're right and I had just gotten myself mixed up.Oh, thats 3rd scene tho. And at least in what I downloaded it doesnt play, game ends there.
For me 1st is in river/jungle which are both fucking identical, then gangbang when resident fuckbuddy takes her out in middle of festival, then the "trap" event which ends the demo. Is my demo glitchy, did you not get the gangbang scene or whats going on here? :X
Edit: Jungle/River scene arent identical, but the text and playout are so that I didnt even remember till after comparing them lol...
Fair enough then lol.No, I think you're right and I had just gotten myself mixed up.
