Maya was desperate to stop Sensei from dying right in front of her, after nearly breaking him, but that's not quite the same as laying her head on his shoulder on her bday towards the end of Chapter 2:The event where she's so desperate to keep sensei around she tries to fuck him back to sanity (A Place That Can Only Exist In Our Minds) comes before Record Breaker, the event where she asks to kill Noriko and accepts when Sensei tells her not to.
That aside, the contents of record breaker also include Maya telling Sensei she wants him to make it to the reset, to value his existence, and outright stating she's pretty sure he's the original Sensei. I feel fairly confident in saying she had already began to significantly care about this iteration by this point, she was just much more guarded (and slightly tsun about it, considering some of her lines in record breaker lol)

On the other hand, Maya had wanted Noriko gone since the 'What Could Have Been' Chapter 2 Main Event, where she had her outburst:

Which was about 4 updates, before 'Record Breaker'.
Maya wanting to get rid of Noriko also isn't something new. Noriko didn't seem to think Maya's opinion of her changed much from apparently their tutoring days, after Maya's outburst:

It's probably why Sensei just considers it a grudge in 'Record Breaker':
