Decided I'd reply to many posts at once, hope that is ok.

I am curious though, and am doubly curious about if Pareidolia would even consider a reset during his Spring, since it's supposed to be infinite. It might be that the other gods will try to forcefully change seasons with just one reset - we'll see...
That's what I think, Parry doesn't want a reset. I feel we will only get one this season, going into the next season when either working together or not, the other users force it.
Some of it is shitty programming.

My favorite example of this kind of inconsistency is that if you start a new game and visit any of the girls that have had a makeover in the dorms, you get their current post-makeover model in the generic, not the correct version for the stage of the game you're in.
Yes, I believe Sel has said he will eventually fix that.

I probably visited Molly and Futaba ten times between events this update since I didn't want to go see any other girl we haven't reconnected with. Chika, Ayane, hell almost all of them I feel makes no sense to dorm visit right now.
Better than starting over
Damn I may have a problem. Just finished a replay and keep telling myself: take a break, don't start over again right now, read something else.
Has anyone yet mentioned Akira talking about becoming a Collector, in his discussion with Yasu? I can't pull up the scene right now for the context and exact verbiage but that's associated with Pareidolia, right?
I was thinking the Yasu events helped convince him to accept it. All the swim stuff.
Maya's so fucking adorable! And she actually put on her shrine outfit to seduce him !! :ROFLMAO: I wonder if that's her plan to get her man back, I can totally see her doing that. That's a very Maya reaction as being his girlfriend for years and suddenly finding out there's like 20 girls trying to have sex with him.

I wonder though if that's her reaction to finding out he's cheating, or a reaction just to that possibility. Or just to Niki being near him tbh.
I definitely want us to see what happens when she finds out he is banging so many other girls. Please Sel don't minimize this. And hell yeah she is adorable!
Now that Maya prime as the people in this thread have taken to calling her
I cant remember the exact event, but she has been called that in chapter 4 at least once, if my memory is right.
I would not be brave enough to wear that in public
Yeah I almost regret buying my Maya "Your Disgusting" shirt. Don't want to answer questions about it. I usually wear it under a sports jersey.

warning
for those who dont know.
updating game reverts disabling drm and game deletes your save files. back up your saves before.
selebus that little fuck. I was gonna support him after I finish the game.
now he can eat my dick.

if someone have save file after beach event where u didnt betray rin. I would appreciate it
Pretty sure your saves are supposed to be backed up automatically. There's two save locations, not one.

The DRM wipes both, that's why there are warnings and we keep saying not to install the carepackages, just open the files on your desktop, don't add them to the game files.
lesson learned that was my first update. only need a save for beach event with hint mod installed please

I have not finished the update so won't be reading the thread yet. But that Io event chain must be one of the most impactful things Selebus has written thus far. Then I played the Futaba event right after it and the juxtaposition of that was quite a strange thing to behold. Presumably deliberately so.

I also really liked the Second Noriko event. For me, at least so far, this has been a very good update. It's going to be strange when I read the thread if everyone hates it for some reason.

Question for those with far better memories than I

Besides Noriko, which other girls have had scenes focused around eggs? I know they're a bit of a motif in the last two chapters, but I can't recall the specifics.

Yeah, it seems weird to explain why you're wearing a shirt with a crying girl, would be funny if someone recognized the graphics and figured it was porn.

When asked before I said its from a manga I read and this girl is thousands of years old trapped in this body. She always tells the main character he is disgusting.

That's about as much as I have gotten into it with people other than my wife and my oldest daughter. I have told those two all about the story and I appreciate them for listening. I was very distraught back at the end of chp3.

Now that I think about it, there was a guy at work I explained the story to since he also had read some adult VNs.

You cant talk about this one on the AVN reddits and I find discord to be a confusing mess so I greatly appreciate this place we have here.

Edit: Shit I am also now reaching reaction limits. Happened earlier tonight and then I suddenly had some more 10 mins later. Is it a 24 hour thing or some other mechanic?

Yasu talks about eggs sometimes and there were plates of eggs at her tea party with the rabbits. Beyond that, they mostly show up in surreal sequences, especially in happy events and during resets when it becomes "egg time". A couple of early examples that I remember are the end of "Såsom i en Spegel" (Kaori's event where John gives a long monologue) and at the end of Maya's festival. If they do have a concrete meaning, it probably has something to do with Akira's childhood and maybe the cycle of abuse, since he sees his child self as an egg in "Lamb Legs", but they might just be an indicator of the surreal in general and Akira's broken mind in particular.

To give you an idea on where i'm going with this -- I was specifically wondering if Ayane and Makoto had any meaningful interactions/experiences with eggs prior to showing up on the rooftop during a reset.

Also curious about intact eggs vs eggs that are accompanied by the sound of an egg cracking. Because that sound effect is common within the game -- moreso than the visual of eggs themselves.

does this game have like animated sex scenes or is it just photos?
Mainly photos, there are animated scenes that are for lust grinding, the option for the animated appears when you go over to a girls place (that you've had sex interaction with) or invite them over (that you've also had sexual interaction with) the first two invite over events are photo but then the next time is animation once you pick your scene.

I don't remember any connections between Ayane and eggs. The only connection I can remember with Makoto is metaphorical: in her Chapter 1 event "Egg Tooth", Pareidolia starts to take control of Sensei's mind but he manages to fight him off, which he compares to breaking free from an egg.

Two early events that I can remember an egg cracking sound in:
  • Sensei eats an egg at the end of "The Room with Clocks", which he calls "body of Christ" and seems to return him to "normal".
  • Sensei steps on invisible eggshells in the school at the start of the Chapter 1 event where Yumi saves him from walking into the static.
I do vaguely have the idea that that sound started happening a lot more in Chapter 3, but I don't remember specifics.

I'm like 95% sure Makoto has never been egged, but her whole thing is language involving birds. Obviously that's different and has its own meaning, but there could be some kind of extra connection or hidden meaning there. She's likened to a baby bird, almost. Ayane I don't believe has ever egged, but I'm less sure.

Also, there's egg time madness, where four girls toss an egg at each other and Sana fucking dies (except not really.) Three of those girls, Sana, Ayane, Tsuneyo, have some connection to wires, hope, or the rooftop apocalypse squad / reset. Molly seems to be the odd one out, though. And that event chain had a lot of illogical shit happen around the same time, like the live alligators, and the death ball, and it's entirely unexplained how Imani just did that. Was most of that probably comedic relief and dramatization, and is it a complete stretch to make any connection to that egg-related event? Probably.
