bro I'm gonna need a youtube documentary about this game and all the drama surrounding it after it's finished

This site is solely responsible for 95%+ of his game's success, and yet today I saw him post a picture in his discord with a girl holding a sword over people with redknight and Sam's avatars as heads, complaining about how the site "harms developers" and featuring the site's contact email, encouraging his followers to spam the inbox. I'd share it because it's so incredibly insane, but I'd probably get in trouble.

I doubt the game will ever end, nor the drama. This site has apparently become a barrier to the success it alone gave him growing even more, and that will likely always be unacceptable.

I'm still wondering how long the Care Packages will continue now that they're allowed here. What do we think?

Just putting it out there that the more Selebus and his followers say the game has certain things in it on their server, the more likely people can just report it to discord and they can deal with it.

Done, warning removed, apologies for that. Rule 7 reports are meant to be dealt with only by staff, but in this case it was a new moderator, which isn't in line with our procedures, plus this literally happened on Christmas so was unfortunately overlooked by the rest of the staff too.

People were already privately sharing the care packages in this thread, but all this shit popped off today after they were allowed to be officially posted in the OP.

He already rolled back custom renders being available at the $35 tier out of (understandable) considerations for his time, so I guess we'll have to see...

Yeah, definitely has nothing to do with the high quality of the game or insane rate he puts out updates compared to some other game devs...

You could develop the greatest game in the world, but if you don't get it in front of thousands of peoples' faces and have a place for word of mouth to spread, you're not obtaining the success he has as fast as he has. Who do you personally talk to about the porn games you play? How many people? How many other people do you think talk about porn games with their friends? And where else would you discuss them publicly, Itch? This site offers orders of magnitude more reach than Itch.

He can be supported, but he can't outright paywall stuff made in KK, which is what he's doing with the CPs, gravure renders, and other custom renders, Illusion doesn't like it when people do that.

I know i shouldn't, i try to be a good site member... but i just love this drama so much, the meltdowns, the fury, the hilarious images, the screenshots, the trolling, the counter trolling, there's some little dickhead in the back of my head that just loooooves the whole thing and wants more. Selly could easily kill all of it off if he just shutup but he can't and that makes it a million times more hilarious and fun. Watching control freaks freak out over not having absolute control is endlessly entertaining.

Eh. I don't personally approve of people sharing patron-only content, since he asked me not to. I just also don't really think it looks good for a dev to be getting so upset about stuff being leaked and shit-talking a web site that brings in so much attention to his product. Like, he turned to this place for help when Patreon dropped him, and from what I can tell, it helped. I found this game through this site, too.
