Although DDLC is the most mainstream (and thus, widely known) denpa game, there are quite a few others in the genre. When asked about influences, recommendations for other denpa games, and the like, Selebus has never even mentioned DDLC. I highly doubt it will have the same ending.

Of course, only Selebus can say for sure, and I highly doubt he's gonna give any hints about the ending here.
I am really curious now, what are the influences / recommendations for other denpa games ? Cause the only ones I know are DDLC, totono, higurashi and subahibi, and I would like more in this genre.

I personally don't play a lot of denpa games, but here are some posts by Selebus about it:
Cross Channel is one of my favorite games and Taichi was definitely a big influence on how I approached Sensei!
I've only played like three Western VNs so all of my recommendations will be for Japanese ones (But don't worry, they're all translated).
Some of my favorites in this same genre are:

(Game literally changed my life and gave me the motivation I needed to start writing again)
(More character drama/time-loop stuff with another protagonist who is also a horrible person)
(NTR Warning for this one. GREAT game in terms of fourth wall breaks with a sub-focus on religion)
There are more, but they're buried in long responses to other users. I recommend using the search feature in this thread to look for "recommend" and "influence" as two separate searches.

It looks good, though it is a bit hard to see Yuki's stats. A product of her name color and the background, of course.
Yeah, Io's not great either. And Yasu seems to have been assigned white as her text color (based on her introductory appearance) so obviously something will have to be done to accommodate that.

ETA:
I tried adding outlines to Io, Touka, Yasu, and Yuki's names to improve readability, but I'm not entirely sold on the result:

Would you say "boobies" if I asked you why ?
If I were being overly reductive and was too lazy to explain further, yes, but its more than that. I really adore her for the 'come out of a self-isolation for the sake of love" trope. This is why it will constantly be towing the line between Futaba and Sana for me.

I'm not so sure on her relation, I do think she had some sort of relationship prior to the story, but my best guess is they had a romantic relationship, not a familial one. Furthermore, I believe Noriko to have been the reason for the game's events in the first place. My theory is that she got in the way of old Sensei and Maya in a deadly way, or at least it was supposed to be deadly. He survived and Maya realizes that he isn't the same and acts cold to him for that reason, because it is not the same person. Noriko doesn't, however, which is why her intro plays out like it does. She only realizes that the relationship between Maya and what I now refer to as player Sensei is over. She still thinks the man she tried to kill is there, just with no memory of the relationship she tried to end by force, and as a result, she's trying to take him agressively in a sexual blitzkrieg before he can either regain his memory or reestablish a relationship with someone else on the same level he had before. That's my theory, anyway.
a couple of things that just seem off with your theory,

I think hes just learning. Growing, if you want. Like a tree maybe ツ
I did not miss baby finches, I am heavily implying they had an incestuous relationship(which is what resulted in the world breaking), and the relationship mentioned by noriko is never fully clarified as what KIND of relationship she was jealous of considering maya was 6 and sensei was like 15-17 when he walked out of noriko's life... current sensei seems to have the moral compass to hit that regardless but older versions of him have been portrayed as much more... thoughtful and far less skevy than that. The biggest fault in my theory to me is needing an explanation for Maya's last name.

Hm ok. Sorry but i dont see them being related. At least not by blood.
I dont know either how Noriko might know about Sensei and Maya.
Maybe it was one of the only information she was able to gather about him. Given her personality she could be the archetype of a stalker.

If im correct that Maya wants her old mentaly ill Sensei back because they were like soulmates its difficult to understand why she tries to prevent Sensei from knowing too much (the past).
I think that has something to do with Sensei getting broken every time he dives too deep into his past. That's why she tries subtle approach and goes mad when Noriko just dups lore on Sensei without any consequences.
She insinuates that new Sensei might in fact be old Sensei (with missing or messed up memories).
This much is pretty much confirmed.
And if he finds out about himself the world would end or at least Sensei gets erased out of that world or becomes a mental neutrum.
I think it's Sensei's own doing, a failsafe. He wanted to be free from whatever heavy shit was in his life and just fuck around with girls in infinite loops. His memories always lurks just beyond the surface, enough to remember tastes and have general statements like "I've always...", but dive too deep and he goes bananas.
Hm ok. Sorry but i dont see them being related. At least not by blood.
I used to think that Maya was Sensei's daughter, now I think she's a sister of a woman, that Sensei was really in love with and that eventually married a man Sensei felt deeply inferior to, his own brother. That kinda explains her attitude towards Noriko. They were in similar situations, a competitors, rivals.

I love the game and the girls but the MC he has no feeling he doesn't give two shits he's boring and kinda cold all he freaking cares about is how to get in the girls pants he doesn't give two shits about what they like or don't like he says that many times we just have an MC that doesn't care for any of that why do we have to go through with it why can't we get an option to just fuck them like the MC wants he's not looking for a wife or gf he just wants to get his dick wet and move on to the next girl till hes fuck them all and then he's done
Honestly, I don't think this is entirely true. There are several moments where he very obviously does care about them. It's certainly how the MC sees himself, and it's true that he's not a good person, but he's also very obviously not a heartless monster. Also, he hasn't raped anyone. Even when he kissed Yumi, it seemed pretty clear to me that something took control from him. He's not a good person, but he's also not completely uncaring.

I finally caved, not once have I ever spent money on any kind of porn whatsoever but the writing in this is so incredible that I am now a $5 patron. Looking forward to checking out the new update and iirc I think another drops in a few days. Looking forward to it Selebus, keep this shit going.
I guess I’m pretty much the same, but a couple of steps behind; never spent (or intend to) on pron or depravity, but now plan to throw in a contribution to one of the basic tiers for this.
Even though I’m probably a good deal less frequent / regular than many appear to be, and probably won’t actually end up getting round to the updates before the ‘public’ release.

I guess the question I have is; which ‘host’ (Paetron, SS…) is best to contribute through? Does one take a bigger / smaller cut?
I know the direct impact of my single choice will likely be in the fractional-penny range, but it could help others with the same choice.

Also; does the presence of a banner for HOPE indicate the character will soon be added to the Main Girls roster, and we can start seducing?

Yo! They both take about the same cut so it's really whichever one you prefer. If you intend to vote on the polls, it's probably easier to do it through Patreon since an extra step is involved for voting through SubscribeStar.

Thanks so much for considering supporting the game!

Main page says there's a compressed Android version as I'm pretty sure installing a 3.7g APK won't work (correct me if I'm wrong) yet I can't find the compressed Android version. Only win/Linux/mac.

Halp?

I don't believe a compressed android version for the current version has been made yet, as it's done unofficially. Keep an eye on the thread and I'm sure it will be made eventually. However, from what I've heard on this thread in the past, it's generally better to use an emulator to run the game on android, as there has been problems with the compressed android version running in the past.

I believe Joiplay was the recommended emulator? But I've never actually tried running the game on android myself, so may want to wait for someone else to respond.

There's one last remaining step to reach perfection - hint for each girl where to look for next event. I don't know how difficult it would be, but I can dream. Never again wandering around and looking for something happen.
This is something I've thought about a bit. The event list pages have a lot of empty space on them, so it wouldn't be difficult to add a single line of text next to each giving some hints (though still pretty time consuming).

But if I were going to do something like this, I'd probably want to do more and have that text change depending on the player's actions. Something like this:

nikimod.JPG

Here, there's no text next to Cotton Candy because the player's already completed it. But they haven't seen Semantics, a Rin event required for the next Niki event, so they're pointed in that direction. Once they've seen that event, the text changes to "Call Niki at night."

Doing that would obviously take a lot more time (and testing to make sure things were working correctly) and, with the guide/wiki out there, I'm not sure if it's worth it (also, the triggers for most events are really straight forward).
