Actually dug a little harder. I don't understand what these ev_[selvariable].missed flags are but it's a bug from the guide mod, not the game. Actual game event shows selfless.

I couldn't care less about the cheating tbh. Surprisingly, I think Akira puts her in her place regarding that from the start, and he never takes a step back on that regard.
As for Haruka herself, her husband is gone for three years, there's no way of knowing if he's even alive, she took a chance on a new relationship and found out she liked it better - good for her. The issue is that she didn't go "I want to break up with my husband, it's just that I can't get a message to him." If she had the intent to break up with him I think a lot of people would be fine with it.
Obviously, the correct thing to do would be to break up with her husband before dating another dude, but again, war. Life is messy. The real issue with Haruka is that she's a predator imo. She hires teenage girls because she wants to have sex with them.

Yeah, I can't take sex scenes between female characters as NTR either. It didn't even occur to me until I read about it in this thread. I just think that if I were a fan of the NTR genre and came across this game through a tags search, and then spent a lot of time reading the whole thing just to see those two scenes Otoha x Nikki and Ami x Maya, I'd be very disappointed, to say the least

Yeah this is why I don't hold much of a grudge against her either, she's not heard from him in three years, it is what it is.
I will say the way she tried to throw Akira under the bus was unhealthy of her, im glad Akira didn't take any shit from her in that event. Same with how she didnt get in touch with Maki, but she's at least tried to make up for that.

I'm not sure I can look at visual novels the same ever again. Then again, I thought DDLC did that when it first came out and I don't even know where this fucking game will end up if/when it will/won't be finished.

Eh, it could be worse, like the myriad of games where the updates straight up stop or the author has IRL issues of any kind that pretty much mean the game is dead. At the very least, for Lessons in Love, it feels like either the game finishes in 6+ years, or it's stopped due to the ultimate inevitability, no inbetween.

Fair enough. It would take more than that for me. But I've been married for a loooong time, I trust my wife—and trust her ability to rip the balls (or tits) off a person who hits on her and won't back off.
(In all our years together, I've only had to intervene once—and it was because she was about to deck a drunk a-hole who wasn't picking up on her very clear signals—and my presence.
