I'm going to use this as a segue to talk about something I haven't, yet noticed during the replay:

The whole "don't have sex with Ayane" is one of the instances where the plot makes no sense - it's more of a Selebus issue than anything else.

Regardless of the reason Akira agrees to it, he was not supposed to get Ayane pregnant. And yet the game treats it as if they can't even kiss. They have zero sexual interactions with one another and go out of their way to say how hard it's being (???????).

I mean, hello? The entirety of lesbian relationships don't generally include one of them cumming inside of one another, and yet they can get eachother off no problem - how come Ayane and Akira can't? It's one of those things that looked even dumber upon replay.
They can kiss and they did kiss (Chiburi); as for other sexual interactions, my defense for this is that the chance of Ayane and Sensei not being able to contain themselves after a passionate 69 is high enough for Maya to enforce an universal ban on all sexual interactions between the two of them. My offense of this is that Selly should've just included this simple rationale in Maya's proposal when they had the talk outside of karaoke booth. Better yet, had Ayane on the spot propose hand stuff/mouth stuff/other stuff but still got banned by Maya to showcase how insistent Maya was on testing her theory and on seizing the chance to prevent anyone from keeping having sex with her man.

Wasn't trying to insult you, more cutting my losses before the effort gets too big. There were a couple times I bothered to flip the variable, but half of the huggy dialogue is little quips and doing all that effort for what would have looked like a "oh, lmao" kind of line didn't feel worth it.

Sometimes when you press those two URM buttons you get a funny screenshot, occasionally you get a weird tangent that Selebus was on at the time. That's great value for effort.
Didn't take no insult man, part 1 was 'cool' and part 2 was 'nothing to me man'. If you want elaboration since i was being extremely lazy; yeah you do you man as i kinda agree but i got no skin in the game and i don't really care about the subject.

We didn't have a «genderless» pronoun in french, but, if we want to use one we already have, it should be «ça», not «on».
As the common use of «on» is much more like a «we/us».
For example, with an easy sentence :
«On est fatigué.»
«We are tired.»

And yes, I usually speak french. And I'm terrible in english... well, not that terrible, but I write in english the same way I write in french, with a lot of comma and, of course, with a disturbing way of phrasing.
So, my apologies if you had, or have, some difficulties with my writing. :giggle:
Merçi. Ça... suffit. ;)

No difficulties with your writing at all. Better than my French, évidemment.

Just quickly repeating that you can invite Ayane over during this time and have her grind on you, and that has unique dialogue for the situation. No forced sexual acts doesn't mean no sexual acts, just no penetration / cumming inside. Pity she has no repeatable blowjob there would have been good dialogue there during this.

Huh, how is it Miku's invite events are the first to make me think there's lore during the sex part.

[edit] and I have just made the stupidest joke that none of you will find until I share my saves.

Wait, wtf??????????????? The dev is an asshole, wtf is this? How many events back do I need to go to start grinding Miku lust? Y'all are probably dealing with this issue all the time, aren't you?
Yes, we are.

Maybe I'm just blind but I don't feel like she was written to be that likable as a love interest.
Nah, it is Sel's fault. She is... just okay. But yeah, I ignore her mostly

Since there is nothing interesting really going on here right now, here's a question to spark a discussion that could get heated.

From the MAIN cast (the 20 classroom girls only), which character is the worst written one.

In my opinion it's Uta

For me, it's hard to tell... I read too much, so I just see archetype and narrative subject. And mostly each one «convince» me in their functions.
But, if I had too choose the one I don't quite understand, it will be Molly.

Funny that we get the same conclusion, LoveRedHairedGirl.

Not sure if I agree entirely with you. Just because you go through something traumatic or a hardship doesn't mean that your personality has to change. She is a weeaboo girl at heart and she will remain one because that's who she is.
I think the point of Molly as a character is to showcase that different people deal with scenarios in different ways.

It's hard to explain, but maybe she isn't completely aware of the gravity of what happened in that halloween party, or maybe she is but she simply doesn't care enough as she values her friendship with Akira more than what could've happened.
She was more worried that her and Akira would never be friends again than what could've happened to her.

Just imagine how differently each character would've reacted to Lavender Green;

Yumi would've probably been scarred for life, reduced to tears at the realization that she woke up to Akira's cum and never talked to us again.

Touka would've cried and lost her composure, and after a few hours of recollection, throw an uncharacteristic fit of rage and sentence us to death, literally.

Ayane would've been confused and dissapointed, even if this event happened before any sexual encounters with Akira she would've shrugged it off as best as she could and still try to talk to him to say "It's ok", even if it wasn't

What I definitely don't like is the way she "got over it", because when she gives Akira her first blowjob, she acts as if Lavender Green never happened. There should've been some tension to showcase the impact this event had, this is not something that you can just forget.

I don't really mean to be too extreme in saying this, but it's precisely this kind of thought experiment which leaves me kind of tongue-tied nowadays, since it seems to me that everyone would just get over it or enjoy it. I mean, in a sense that's what the resets have always been about, but like... Do you really think Touka would sentence Sensei to death and not just in short order be glad he was so lustful for her that he couldn't help but fuck her? Don't you think Yumi would either forget it happened or maybe even distort into some weird 'wow that wasn't so bad after all" or something? I reaaaaaaaaaally just can't imagine any serious or long-term negative consequences in the current Lessons in Love context where it's quadrupled down on the porn game trappings. So I can't really imagine, in turn, any unique responses to Lavender Green except "random series of responses that end up with any given heroine looking Sensei in the eye and saying 'please break me' just like Molly did" or whatever. Kind of doomer here I know, but that's where I'm at right now. I basically feel utterly dead inside, and that's not just because of an inability to feel any physical or emotional stimulus! Engaging in LiL's plot right now feels kind of like I'm just watching noise happen on the screen indiscriminately. I've totally disassociated with anything happening and when something does happen I just wait for it to be erased. All 1 people in the world who were invested in Futaba's beef with Nodoka are VERY disappointed I can tell you that. And heck, maybe in fact I am become Nodoka, Goddess of Crows, and can only go "AAAH I CANT FIGURE IT OUT" before exploding.

I might even ponder if a 'reset' is a glib interpretation of the 'just get over it' or 'just pretend it didn't happen' philosophy when it comes to mental illness or depression.

I said weeks ago you're turning into Sensei. Maybe you were already Maya instead.
I don't remember you saying this. Maybe didn't properly tag me.

Yeah, what's the deal with that? If you are gonna put a character with a major visual flaw and include all the h scenes, shouldn't you make sure that the character itself is a lot more likable? I can't say there are a lot of people out there who are keen on someone with that strong insecurities, with a friend whose evil who she defends, who likes books way too fucking much and that's her entire persona. Even as a visual novel reader, that shit is stupid. All of this is assuming you don't mind overweight girls. I feel like she's no more entertaining than Haruka.

What do we feel about blue hair anyway? I can't say that's a particularly nice hair color.

Hey everyone, I understand that care packages are additional contents, however, what is DRM?
Generic term for software designed to restrict usage of a program. Software keys are DRM for example. Steam is also DRM.

The DRM in this game will delete your save files if you load up the game with pirated care packages. There's ways to work around it, but the risk is horrendously high for the little gain. Most of us just read the scripts of the care packages and look at the images. I'd implore you to semi regularly back up your saves if you want to risk having care packages in it, at least before installing a new update if you correctly applied the DRM in the first place. New DRM or DRM fixes can be applied at any time.

I don't remember you saying this. Maybe didn't properly tag me.
Nah I just make random little quips during these posts. You were finding Wakana strangely hot like Sensei did. Now you're hating children like Maya does.

Care to elaborate? I just started CH4 but how would you improve her writing if you could, and what makes her the worst written? Where I am right now she doesn't stand out TOO much so I guess I could understand why someone could come to that opinion, but a character who is ashamed of their first experiences with "sexuality" as a child and is currently running away from the consequences of said experiences seems pretty interesting and believable to me.

For me it's Nodoka. She isn't really a believable character. I mean it's fine if Selebus made her a genius but like knowing every random bullshit is insane. The quiz with Makoto was super cringe because of this. Then OF COURSE she can figure out the secrets of the universe. Nodoka feels like a character Selebus made so he can use her to dump expositions.
