What if it was OUR Maya that was the one version of her that accepted the drink there. Could be an example of a "special event" that separates our Maya from all the others. Although this is admittedly just wild speculation, because we don't know for sure if the timelines were even "split" back then.
Yeah, it's kind of like some of the few scenes where he smiles, it comes off as really creepy like when the power went out with Ayane.
