So much to talk about, but let me start with two points for consideration:

Anyway there's a lot to talk about like the gods searching for other vessels, the multiple Sekais, Maki trying really hard not to out Akira fucking both Makoto and Miku, Yasu's whole giving birth to an angel, Himawari obviously, Tsuneyo being forced to redo "This town has two halves", the white room above Tojo Ramen, who possessed Tsuneyo, why Nao-chan came to save Akira, the Rika sex being a step away, Yuki having cancer and that being the reason for her going back to drugs, Karin bouncing back, Uta's personal tragedy and some other minor stuff.

But I wanted to highlight those two from the start because I think they'd get overlooked.

That exception bit was really good, at first I thought it'd just be a png in the background but no, it was an actual exception and with instructions in the error message.

So many revelations, but I see a lot of it is discussed already.
Yumi remains top tier, and I hate what Akira is doing to Uta, even if she knows it deep down she's clearly trying to ignore the red flags.

Oh, man. This update evokes the feeling of...slow descent. Like, there's suddenly so much less normallicy to anchor us and Sensei. Love it.

Kanji is old, i could be wrong but translating it as 'music' could be a case of losing all the cultural connotations in the translation. If you imagine old, traditional Japanese music, a lot of it could be described as 'comfort' music, aesthetic and relaxed, and it wouldn't be hard to imagine that when they say 'music', that specific kind, it could be better translated as 'relaxing traditional music' rather than modern pop or rock. Always got to remember with translations that different languages use different syntax, whereas we say this music or that music, they might say Kemba or Sinwong, and both would translate as music, but be radically different in their meaning to natives.

Given all that, and again, i could be wrong, i don't speak Japanese, it could be something more like 'Autumn's soft flute played by the mountain stream'... Autumn music... this is pure conjecture though.

''Kanji is old''
I am not sure what do you mean by old. I specifically skimmed for readings of possible kanji that means music and only the onyomi of 楽 (raku) gives us ra for the two-kanji name. If you want traditional Japanese music there's a specific word for it 邦楽 hougaku. I am just speculating because this kanji has plenty of meanings, first that come to my mind are - fun, ease, paradise, music, relief, pleasure and some more synonyms, but those are the ones I do remember.

Re: Moonflare already mentioned about japanese explaining how to write their names by naming other words where those kanji are used with needed readings. The thing is, apart from old style Japanese names which where usually quite dumb (especially for girls with every name ending with -ko(子 child), but parents tend to give their own interpretation of kanjis they use in a name for their child. So is it seleboba with blatant use of ''the meaning is the same as the reading example'' or it was just helping Uta to understand how to write and/flirt, cuz, well, music and music. Until stated otherwise we can guess however we want, especially because 秋 (aki) can also be used to read as toki and oh boy, I don't have to mention how WE LOVE TIME/SEASONS in this game.

it is now (sort of). In Japanese, many kanjis (the symbols) have the same sound, thus it is common when explaining a name to do so: "my name is written by combining the kanjis for so and so".
What?! It's not 明 (bright, light)? Since I always assume it's one character like other male members of Arakawa family - Nozumu (望) or Yuu (悠).

Anyway back to Akira あきら, if it's really written as 秋楽 then it would be very interesting. Since 楽 not only can refer to music when combining with 音 (sound) but also a general feeling of joyfulness. Like in 快楽, which means, as you probably already guessed, happiness.

According to this

there are 19 ways how to call a baby Akira with a singe kanji :) But with such obvious kanji choice there are only meanings we can play around. I mean we could technically use 旻(akizora) (and make it 旻楽), but this is a chinese one, not our place:confused:

Wow I really enjoyed this update, it's too sad that we will have to wait an extra month for the next one with so much slowly getting set up. Uta's new events probably resonated with me the most, but I loved Yumi's progress just as much. Maki's were also suprisingly moving. Anyways I'm gonna gush and get a bit personal about Uta's event first before I gotta go to work if anyone cares. I may make another post about my thoughts on Maki's events later.

EDIT: Geez, I got off work and gave this a quick reread and I really must've been in a rush because the syntax was all over the place. Too many thoughts, too little time I guess. Cleaned it up a bit and made it read a bit more naturally. Now I'm gonna go revisit Maki's events and decide if I had any thoughts worth sharing.

Derped had on this one until I also read the Moonflare post. It's not just nightch4, it's ch4nightmenu. It should also specify the entire line instead of just the condition, I think.
"Bathhouse" if iospring1 == True and iospring5 == True and day < 5 and utaspring3 == False

I am a bit bored of questions, so I made full chapter 4 walkthrough. I promise to keep this post updated at least until chapter ends

It was a good update but a sad one.
I like how Akira is still so confused.

One of the better updates as of late, I truly enjoyed it, in more ways than one. All the events are well written and the overall quality is pretty much as high as it gets.
The Yumi events were absolute peak and I'm positively surprised how good and positive they were - that is on the account of Sensei just being nice and doing nice things for her and such, which is I suppose what I had wanted the most at this point. And also Yumi warming up to Akira, being more honest with her feelings, such joy to read, in spite of the overall sadness and tragedy surrounding the whole thing.
