Everything seems in order, except Chika trying to cook a whole watermelon... why? Who even cooks watermelon? Why? Just why?
So, you are not asking what purpose does the pan in Ayane's hands have? Cooking a cake? Or even serving it as the pan is clean? Personally I understand you because I noticed Wakana only on second glimpse (after Thomas ofc)

After finishing this update I feel like I need to do something happy. Overall I feel invested and 'sad' for so many of them.

On a general note, certainly hope we see more Uta content whether that means in paths or however te game evolves. Also, return of Moe Moe Maya please.

Chika is just using the "Yumi marinated" watermelons to make something gourmet. Only at Tsukioka & Amamiya Nude Catering Service they can make you a meal that tases like your favorite girl.

Me again, I wanna talk about place where Akira first met Maya this time since the situation is bit ambiguous. Nobody seems to have done it before so let's sort it out.

That's what I have thought, but Ayane claimed that Akira didn't see or acknowledge the incident in the hallway of Karaoke.

And let me remind you, Ami specifically said that in the classroom out of nowhere. And Akira didn't "get upset and start thinking irrationally after the scene". Nor would I think Ami will remark her own death as simply something scare. If you haven't thought about it you can check my lastest post on it and its potential connection with Maya.
On a more important note why haven't I receive any feedback from this??? What happened in the hallway has become a haunting mystery to me now but I will hold my hope like a thing with feathers.

Regarding Maya's coffee machine, it is a widely accepted theory that she's taking Akira to where they first met to try to activate his memories. She later explains the logic behind this when she criticizes Noriko's approach to it being too blunt.

Regarding the hallway during the Ami sacrifice, although Akira doesn't seem to remember what happened to Ami then, he later seems to recall Ami dying. Someone else can either confirm or deny this as I can't remember the specific event in which it happens.

Edit: It is also highly debatable if the "Ayane" from "Meant to be/Remember to smile" is actually Ayane. It is likely that at the very least it isn't our Ayane (and if she's just a projection of Akira's mind then it is confirmation by itself that he knows what happened to Ami - although even that isn't that necessary, as Akira has been shown a few times to have knowledge of things he wasn't present for).

Hey was wondering if I should redownload the whole game and simply transfer my saves from 0.40 to the latest one and not cause any errors when progressing? (Last thing I was doing before deciding on letting the story stack was picking between the two wizards)

Saw that there is new content on Yumi so I had to catchup
It won't cause any problems unless your save was inside of a modified scene, if you were inside one of the daily menus it should be fine. You should absolutely redownload the game at that point, 0.42 had a renpy upgrade and it will improve loading times and you can't get the upgrade from patches.

If you want green path hints, pick Tsukasa. The next choice with her, Take It. With Otoha, share the photo. If you were using the guide mod before, you will still need it now. Did you take the shampoo?

the mood of chapter 4 for me. Other montage tracks like "Little Bunny" and "Kimi to Aki No Bouken" did tons of work in their time but something about "pox" brings this atmosphere of causing your own suffering while being both pathetically helpless and irrationally restless. It's like hanging onto dream by a thread.
I know the problems the others had with songs with lyrics and I get it, but I'm used to listening through words while reading (subs watcher practice I guess). While the other goodkid songs are just background songs to me, I really like Pox, but I'm a sucker for melancholic music.

I think Maya was effed up even before the resets. She implies that Sensei and her were "pretty fucked up" and that's why they got attached to eachother:

There's also some implications that she may have been raped by a family member, and was homeless before meeting Sensei.

I think the "girl who never made it home" story told by Sekai in 'Something Everyone Knows and Ignores' may have been about Maya:

Mostly due to the vending machines and running into a stranger parts:

Which could be why Maya takes Sensei to a vending machine and buys him the drink that makes him nostalgic:

There's also the implication that someone else took Maya's "purity" in 'The Room with Clocks':

before Sensei could adopt her and show her "true love". (Unless that black figure is the old Sensei, but that seems unlikely)

I also think this is from Maya's pov due to the green scarf:

The "finally be happy" and "finally knew what it meant to be loved" parts, makes me think something must have happened to her.

Nevertheless: Current Maya is considered "Broken beyond repair":

It's been almost two years, but the Maya connection to the Vending Machines, etc was discussed.

Just to add to it, Maya does seem familiar with Net Cafes, and collects Masks which appear in the 'S.E.K.A.I.' Happy Event.

Also, New Maya implied that Sensei had taken her virginity, so she wasn't completely raped (probably), but Maya Prime also noted they were both fucked up before they got together. So, something did likely happen to her. Possibly involving a family member.

Regarding Maya's coffee machine, it is a widely accepted theory that she's taking Akira to where they first met to try to activate his memories. She later explains the logic behind this when she criticizes Noriko's approach to it being too blunt.

Sensei mentions Ami died in the 'On the Count of Three' Main Event in Chapter 4:

Frankly, I'm still wondering what murdered Ami and seemed to try to murder Sensei as well:
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Also, the 'Times New Roman' Reset seems to have a lot of references to dead Ami:
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
And it may have taken place on Ami's 26th bday:
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Overall: Sensei probably knows. May just selectively ignore it, though. Possibly even blames himself for letting Ami go and get murdered (sacrificed?) in the hallway.

I don't remember which event, but I kinda assumed he knows ALL the events that are shown to us, since in that one event, he wasn't present for it yet it ended with him in his room at night starting to quote the affection points update and then questioning what was he doing.

The way this flew over my head even after going through the start of the game twice just proves to me that I'll never understand the subtlety and the hidden meanings behind the text in this VN.

Feel like I gotta go read more books now
