I think Akira wants to suffer.
I mean suffering as in punishment for his actions. As I have mentioned before, there has been no payoff for previous "ticking bombs" which I fucking hate, nor there has been any consequences affecting Akira, which I am certain that Akira also has a problem with. And he is tired of living without consequences.
This is almost a certainty. Since the last reset alone he's already confessed that he predates on teenagers to Osako, he told Maki about Sekai and almost confessed what he was doing to Makoto and Miku in the process. He just had sex with Imani where she tried living out a schoolgirl fantasy, but then had that ripped from her when he confessed to her how his schoolgirl fantasies actually work instead, and he made sure to point out it used 20 students. He even hoped that she understood in the black screen text, but we'll have to see if anything happens with the next Wakana events.
Don't forget after the dorm wars court case Akira found out they're all openly competing and started getting upset. He wanted them to keep things secret like his fantasies, that it's not the same if it's normal and there's nothing to fear.
He's been trying to get punished for a long time. He's not interested in trying to improve himself since Ch4. He had ideas of it during Ch3 and the gods yelled at him for it.
So... now that I've had time to think on this update... what in the world was the plan with the way things ended there... ALL that build-up, all that intrigue and for what? For it to just kinda... fizzle at the end? Break people apart even further?
Is this even more set-up for what I am still fully expecting to be a war arc of some sort. Like is this just splitting people off into factions for that?
I think Nodoka tried to break the world by breaking the god king Akira from his position. She made him a sub for the first event, made his incest secret public to the class and then tried to make his predatory nature public to the adults. It might have even worked if it was chapter 1, but Akira wants to be punished right now. It just kind of made his day instead.
Gotta wait for the beach.
I think it's just interesting. The game did a really good job misleading me with her character and I'm glad it did because I like real Noriko a lot more than my assumptions about her
Be careful thinking you aren't being mislead anymore, that's misleading 101. Maya having a sensible problem with a love rival doesn't mean she was exaggerating how bad Noriko could have been during the loops. Some of her intro dialogue mentions how she knows it's only been a few years but for some reason it feels like it's been an eternity.
And if you want to overthink things, she came in with an almost yandere personality, saw that it wasn't getting her anywhere, turned into a deredere and almost got laid if his star crossed lover didn't call at that exact moment. She knows how to manipulate him to get what she wants.
There isnt any missed scenes YET...only variations in dialogue so far. But there could be in the future
Stomachache itself becomes a missed event if you go home, it's undeniably red path.
Sure there haven't been any additional events missed, but there's huge differences in dialogue, and a particular point of development on green path. I'm a little disappointed the date was as similar on both paths as it was.
